Warragul & District Specialist School
www.walkwithme.org.au
This Thursday Nicole and I will be representing our school communi-ty at a state wide forum on the introduction of the ABLES curriculum in schools. The forum is specifically for Victorian school leaders who will lead their school teams in establishing ABLES within their school. Warragul & District Specialist is one of only two schools asked to showcase best practise at this forum. Nicole will give a presentation to the audience highlighting the fantastic work that she and the staff at this school have accomplished in embedding the ABLES curriculum within our school. This work has had a significant impact on your child’s education, specifically on setting targeted goals and devising programs to address these goals. Well done to the school communi-ty for the work we have done. This year’s school concert is fast approaching and already the con-cert preparations are underway. The school’s Parents and Friends Association (PFA) will once again be running a raffle. This is a major source of fund raising revenue for the school. The PFA is looking for volunteers to help man the raffle table both on the night of the con-cert and at specific times and locations over the next few weeks. The PFA is also looking for raffle donations from the community. If you are able to assist in any of these areas could you please contact the office.
Many of you would have received a Parent Opinion Survey. Thanks
you for all those parents and families who have already returned the
survey to the school. Can I please encourage all those families who
haven’t already returned their survey to do so before the 12th Au-
gust.

Wishbone bikes are adaptive and multifunctional to match developmental progress. They are suitable for
children aged 1-6 years of age. Wishbone bikes have no pedals and are a very effective
way to teach balance.
