How do you find slope of line through two points? (-4, 7) and (9, 2) (3, -5) and (1, 11) Write an equation of the line through (-1, 4) with a slope of 3 Write an equation of the line through (-2, 3) AND (1, -1) Write an equation of the line through (2, -4) with slope -1 Write an equation of the line though (5, 0) and (7, -3) You need to be able to take an equation in point- slope form and rewrite it as slope intercept form EX: y 8 = -3( x + 5) point slope form y = -3x 7 slope intercept form Equations of Horizontal and Vertical Lines Horizontal lines y = y coordinate EX: y = 2 is a horizontal line at 2 Vertical lines x = x coordinate EX: x = 7 is a vertical line at 7 Graph x = 5 Graph y = -4 Write the equations of the horizontal and vertical lines through the point (3, 2) No Homework, but be prepared to practice this further
