• Ne…rien (nothing) and ne…pas encore (not yet) are placed around the conjugated verb, just like ne…pas, ne…plus, and ne…jamais.

• * je ne peux rien entendre. Ça n’a pas encore commencé.

• When you use ne…personne in the passé composé, persomme immédiately follows the past participle

• Elle n’a rencontré personne au cinéma.

• Notice the placement of rien and personne when they are used as subjects:

• Personne ne regarde la télé. Rien n’est tombé• Notice the placement of ne…aucun(e) (no, not any),

ne…ni…ni…(either…nor…), and ne…nulle part (nowhere):

je n’ai aucune change. II n’aime ni les feuilletons ni les drames.

Ni mon frère ni ma soeur n’aime la télé.Je n’ai vois la télécommade nulle part.
