The graves and grave goods have similarity with Austronesian ritual tradition.
Preliminary Interpretation
1. The relative chronology of the site 10 – 18 C2. The site has close relationship with
Austronesian speakers, this include megaliths3. The villagers believe that the graves were their
ancestor4. It might the Austronesian as migrant live with
the local people who still practiced prehistory life
Questions on Human Skeleton Finds1. where are the excavated human remains positioned in the
evolution chain: is it in the middle between Homo floresiensis and modern Florenese?
2. Since the Manggarai have been conquered by Bimanese Sultan, might the excavated human remains have more close resemblance to the Bimanese or the Florenese?
3. Since the human remains were found in a cultural context of the Austronesian culture, might these have closer DNA with the Austronesian ancestors?“
4. From west or from east these human skeletons started their migration ?
