BRIEF OVERVIEW Ward 75 is based in region 2 which occupies 1 062 km2 of the land area in Tshwane, total population in the ward is approximately 29 385and the total number of households are 8 240. below is a graphical representation of the spatial form of the ward.

Total population based on census 2011 in ward 75 is t 29 439 i.e. 9 percent of the total population in Region 2. The figure above indicates the total population in Ward 75 disaggregated by racial groups. It can be noted from the figure that 98.8 percent of the population in the ward are black Africans, 1.2 percent are whites, coloured, Asian and Indian population.

The figure above indicates the total population in Ward 75 disaggregated by age group, it can be noted from the figure that that ward has the largest population of 35 – 64 year olds, recorded at 32.3 percent, 28.7 percent of the population is younger than 15 years, 20.2 percent is between 15 – 24 years, 15.6 percent is between the ages 25 – 34 years and only 3.2 percent is older than 64 years, proving to be the least populated group in the ward.

Population in the ward 75 have a high percentage of individuals with schooling levels meeting and exceeding the functional literacy defined criteria (i.e. completed primary education), the total percentage is at 73.7 percent. Based on the figure, only 4.3 percent of the population in ward 75 have no schooling, 22.0 percent have some primary, 4.3 percent have completed primary, 33.4 percent have some secondary, 24.3 percent have matric and 11.4 percent have post matric qualifications.
