Who is Eligible?
4-Hers, grades 3-8, can attend as
campers. 4-Hers, grades 9-13 can apply to
train and attend as counselors, so long as
they will be 15 years old by the start of
camp. Options also exist for Counselors-
in-Training (grade 9) and adult
chaperones (over 21 years old).
Description:
Walworth County 4-H Camp is held each June or July at Upham Woods
Outdoor Learning Center in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. This five-day, four
night outdoor adventure engages 4-Hers in a wide variety of fun and
educational activities designed to build life skills, inspire friendships, and
grow amazing memories that will last a lifetime! Camp activities vary a little
from year to year, but typically include: archery, canoeing, swimming, hiking,
nature science, campfires, arts and crafts, teambuilding, recreation, and
much more! 4-H Camp offers members unique opportunities to paddle the
Wisconsin River, explore the trails and caves of Blackhawk Island, and meet
and learn about camp’s resident critters.

How Do You Sign-up?
Camper applications are available between mid-
December and early May in the UW-Extension office.
Counselor applications are available between mid-
December and late January. Download electronic copies
at: https://walworth.uwex.edu/4-h-camp-2019/.
Thanks goes to the county Junior & Senior Leaders’
Associations for making scholarships available and
subsidizing camp annually to help keep costs low for
participants. Thanks, too, to the Walworth County 4-H
House of Pork (HOP) and 4-H Futures Committees for
raising the needed funds.
