Walworth Library & Southwark Heritage CentreSouthwark Council is going to open a new library and heritage centre on the Walworth Road.

Mixing the display of the collection with Library book stacks and study spaces creates a unique environment for learning. The Wellcome Reading Room at Euston (right) is a good example of this new type of public space.

Bringing these two services together creates some great opportunities for new ways of using the facility and sharing knowledge. We want to encourage lots of new people to this unique place and inspire everyone with fascinating stories about Southwark and objects from our collections.
