37 years visiting this fabulous Christmas Venue. So once again why not join us for this
chance to enjoy the most popular English Christmas show of all time. Each show is a
pageant of spectacle and colour – the music a seamless transition from an up-beat dance
routine to a choral rendition of a Christmas carol, a show which would not be out of place
in any of London’s West End theatres. The dazzling scenery is the backdrop to a blend of
exciting Christmas entertainment with carols, flamboyant dancers, beautiful costumes,
outstanding music and singing from a cast of over one hundred! At Thursford,
traditional farm buildings have been transformed into a small village of gift shops with a
touch of Charles Dickens’ England; The Christmas Shop, The Stable Shop and The
Pantry/Sweet Shop are all famous for their unique gifts and festive treats which perfectly
reflect this special time of year.
We are offering our 2 day holiday to this wonderful event – to include show ticket, half
board in local hotel, together with a visit to the world renown Caithness Crystal factory
where we will see a demonstration of glassmaking and have a chance to buy those last
Christmas presents at a fraction of the high street prices. On the way home, to make our
tour complete we will call at a choice of our ever popular venues to experience Christmas
decked out in all its splendour.
So why not join us for a magical and memorable festive time celebration?

Heale House and its eight acres of beautiful gardens lie beside the river Avon at Middle
Woodford, just north of Salisbury, Wiltshire. Much of the house is unchanged since King
Charles II hid here in 1651. On a sunny summer's day Heale's formal gardens display
spectacular colour, shade can be found in the walled garden and quiet tranquility in the
Japanese water garden (above). Sit on the banks of the river Avon and catch a glimpse of the
trout for which this river is famous. The garden centre offers a wide selection of flowers and
other plants with professional advice. Next to the garden centre, enjoy light lunches and
teas in the coffee shop

Built in the reign of Elizabeth I, Loseley Park stands in ancient Surrey Parkland close to the
North Downs yet within reach of London. Still the home of the More-Molyneux family, it is
remarkably unchanged since 1562 when Sir William More laid the first stones, and remains,
as he intended, a place of calm, grace and subtle beauty. From the house itself, where the
intricate panelling in the Great Hall was once in Henry VIII’s Nonsuch Palace; to the Tithe
Barn with its ancient oak beams; to the elegant and restful walled garden, Loseley Park is
sought after for civil weddings, corporate events, and as a location for films such as Sense and
Sensibility. But it’s also a place to visit, to enjoy the grounds, the garden and house, and relax
in one of England’s friendliest historic homes

The Savill Garden - WINDSOR GREAT PARK
The Savill Garden covers approximately 35 acres and dates from 1932 when it was started by Eric Savill,
Deputy Ranger of Windsor Great Park, with the support of King George V and Queen Mary. With the
intervention of the war, the garden could not be completed until the early1950s. Originally known as The
Bog Garden, George VI asked that it be renamed in honour of Eric Savill in 1951. The area is ideally suited to
the cultivation of rhododendrons and azaleas and so is at its best in April and May. The garden is now
considered one of the finest. By the entrance the visitor can immediately see laid out ahead the broad slopes
running down to the stream and lake, with woodland beyond. Pathways reach out in all directions, many
designed for wheelchair access. Facilities include an excellent plant centre, shop a restaurant as well as a
Temperate Glasshouse, opened in 1995 and named after the Queen Mother

Batsford Arboretum is home to a unique
collection of some of the world’s most
beautiful and rare trees, shrubs and
bamboos. It was started in the late 1800’s by
Lord Redesdale – grandfather to the
infamous Mitford sisters, who dedicated his
life to creating a wild garden, heavily
influenced by his time working in the Far
East. His passion was shared by the 2nd
Lord Dulverton who continued his work after
inheriting the estate in 1956. Since his death
in 1992, the arboretum has been looked
after by a charitable trust, the Batsford
Foundation.
Moreton-in-Marsh is one of the principal
market towns in the northern Cotswolds
situated on the Fosse Way and now served
by the main line railway from London
Paddington. It grew up in the thirteenth
century as a market town with a wide main
street, narrow burgage plots and back
lanes. There still is a busy Tuesday market
with about 200 stalls attracting many
