Poison grows in this dark. It is in the water of tears Its black blooms rise. The magnificent cause of being, The imagination, the one reality In this imagined world Leaves you With him for whom no phantasy moves, And you are pierced by a death. 3. Analysis This world is imagination. We live in an imagined world. And the cause of this womans weeping appears to be theabsence of imagination. It is one thing to say that our imagination helps us toshape and define our reality. But to say that ourimagination is itself the one reality, and the very causeof our being. The absence of imagination made thiswoman weep. With him for whom no phantasy moves. this part of thesentence is important. She is not left with him whoremains unmoved by a phantasy. Instead, she is left withhim for whom no phantasy moves. She is left outside ofthe one reality, with someone incapable of imagining, incapable of moving a phantasy. And this incapacity isa death. She weeps because she realizes that it is deathtime. 4. Gray RoomAlthough you sit in a room that is gray,Except for the silverOf the straw-paper,And pickAt your pale white gown;Or lift one of the green beadsOf your necklace,To let it fall;Or gaze at your green fanPrinted with the red branches of a red willow;Or, with one finger,Move the leaf in the bowl--The leaf that has fallen from the branches of the forsythiaBeside you...What is all this?I know how furiously your heart is beating. 5. AnalysisA girl suffers from her monotonous life. Becauseshe doesnt have any bright colors in her life. Her life is just gray. But then she looks aroundher and sees that even simple things havebright colors and this fact frustrates her andmakes her heart beat fast.He says I know how furiously your heart isbeating because this is his point of view onwhat the girl is feeling. He is imagining what isgoing on in her head. 6. AnalysisA girl suffers from her monotonous life. Becauseshe doesnt have any bright colors in her life. Her life is just gray.
