HeavenLuke 13:23-24
Matthew 19:23-26 23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "Assuredly, I
say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter thekingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say to you, it is
easier for a camel to go through the eye of aneedle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of
God." 25 When His disciples heard it, they weregreatly astonished, saying, "Who then can be
saved?" 26 But Jesus looked at them and said tothem, "With men this is impossible, but with God
all things are possible."

gate, for many, I say to you, will seekto enter and will not be able.

he who does the will of My Father in heaven.22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in Your name, castout demons in Your name, and done manywonders in Your name?' 23 And then I willdeclare to them, 'I never knew you; departfrom Me, you who practice lawlessness!'

# 1 Don’t trust your fortune
trust Jesus!
Proverbs 11:4 "Riches do not profit in the day of wrath,But righteousness delivers from death."
And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but
lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than
your soul?
Mat. 16:26
Luke 13:23-2423 Then one said to Him, "Lord, arethere few who are saved?" And He
said to them,24 "Strive to enter through the narrow
gate, for many, I say to you, will seekto enter and will not be able.
#2 Strive to enter through the narrow
gate
- Easy might appear nice from adistance, but when there’s too muchease in life, there will be less opportunities for growth, success &fulfillment.
Many things in striving to live theChristian life are in fact extremelydifficult to accomplish but very much worth the effort!
In fact - the easy way is usually the WRONG way! - Mat 7:13,14
Matthew 7:1313 “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
Because we want comfort
We value freedom
We don’t want to wait!
You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone…..
For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.
James 2:24-26
Our fight is the one between the flesh & the Spirit. This battle is a personal battle that each of us must wage if we are ever going to live above the destructive nature of sin. But the good news is we
do not fight this battle alone. God is with us!
To “Be Still” is a Meditative State. To be still is a desire to seek something that seems to be missing in your life. … A connection to a power greater than yourself.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord,Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but
he who does the will of My Father in heaven.22 Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord,
have we not prophesied in Your name, castout demons in Your name, and done manywonders in Your name?' 23 And then I willdeclare to them, 'I never knew you; depart
from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
# 3 Do the Fathers will!
For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:40
Dear brothers and sisters, pattern your lives after mine,
and learn from those who follow our example.
Phil. 3:17
FIND US FAITHFUL
We're pilgrims on the journeyOf the narrow roadAnd those who've gone before us line the wayCheering on the faithful, encouraging the wearyTheir lives a stirring testament to God's sustaining graceSurrounded by so great a cloud of witnessesLet us run the race not only for the prizeBut as those who've gone before usLet us leave to those behind usThe heritage of faithfulness passed on through godly lives
CHORUS:
Oh may all who come behind us find us faithfulMay the fire of our devotion light their wayMay the footprints that we leaveLead them to believeAnd the lives we live inspire them to obeyOh may all who come behind us find us faithful
After all our hopes and dreams have come and goneAnd our children sift through all we've left behindMay the clues that they discover and the memories they uncoverBecome the light that leads them to the road we each must find
“Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful….”
2 Peter 1:5-11
