DAILY ITINERARY DAY1: SUNDAY Ben Gurion Airport / Tel Aviv Arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Dinner & Overnight in Tel Aviv (HB) DAY 2: MONDAY CAESERIA / MEGIDDO / HAIFA / ACRE Depart Tel Aviv and drive along the coastal plain to Caesarea, once a proud Roman port city dating back to the time of Pontius Pilate. View the monumental Roman amphitheater built in the days of Christ. Visit the excavations of the ancient city, the Roman theatre and aqueduct. Continue to Megiddo, overlooking the plains of Armageddon and visit the site of the 21 superimposed cities. Visit the archaeological excavations including the well-preserved water supply system. Drive to Haifa to view the beautiful gardens at the Bahai Shrine on the slopes of Mount Carmel. Continue to Acre to visit the ancient city and harbor. Many Crusaders buildings and fortifications remain intact to this day. The Acre Mosque was built by the notorious 18th century Moslem ruler; Jasser Pasha is among the most important mosques in Israel. Continue to your hotel. Dinner & Overnight in Kibbutz Lavi (HB) DAY 3: TUESDAY TIBERIAS / SEA OF GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/CAESERIA PHILLIPI/GOLAN HIGHTS After a short tour of Tiberias by the Sea of Galilee, we take a boat ride to Capernaum to visit the remains of the 2nd century synagogue. Proceed to Tabgha, where Jesus performed the miracle of the multiplication of the fish and loaves and fed 5000. Near by is the Church of Multiplication with its 4th century mosaic floor. Continue to Mount of beatitudes, here Jesus gave the Beatitudes and taught on many occasions. Here he also performed many of the miracles and delivered the sermon on the Mount. Drive to the Caeseria Phillipi (Banias) springs and waterfalls and ascend the Golan Heights. Dinner & Overnight in Kibbutz Lavi (HB) DAY 4: WEDNESDAY NAZARETH / CANA / YARDENIT / BET SHEAN / JERUSALEM Travel to Nazareth where Jesus spent the silent years of his life. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. Afterwards, visit Cana, site of the first miracle where Jesus turned water to wine. Drive to Yardenit, the baptismal site on the Jordan River. Continue to Beit Shean to view the well-preserved mosaic floor and ancient ruins. Many Crusaders buildings and fortifications remain intact to this day. Drive along the Jordan River and ascend Jerusalem the “eternal city of God”. Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem (HB) DAY 5: THURSDAY JERUSALEM / OLD CITY Drive up Mount of Olives. Here over looking the Temple, Jesus taught his disciples, prophesized the destruction of Jerusalem. From here the entire city of Jerusalem unfolds before us. On its slope is Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was taken captive. We then visit King David’s tomb and the Room of Last Supper. Enter the old city and visit the Cardo, walk up Temple Mount and view Dome of the Rock mosque (entrance to the mosques not included). We walk down to the see Western Wall and along Via Dolorosa. We stop by the Church of Holly Sepulcher near Golgotha. Here Jesus was crucified, buried, as some believe, and resurrected. We then walk along the Oriental Bazaar. Our last visit is to the Garden Tomb where many Protestants believe Jesus was buried. Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem (HB)

DAY 6: FRIDAY JERUSALEM / NEW CITY / BETHLEHEM*

Drive to Ein Karem, birthplace of John the Baptist and where Virgin Mary visited her cousin Elizabeth. According to tradition she stopped the to drink from the water stream on her way to Bethlehem to give birth to Jesus. Visit the Church of Visitation. We continue to Yad Vashem, a memorial to the Six Million Jews that lost their lives in the Holocaust. We will then visit Israel Museum, where on display are the Dead Sea Scrolls and Jerusalem Model illustrating how Jerusalem looked during the second temple period. Our last visit is to Bethlehem (* subject to security situation) to visit the Church of Nativity.

Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem (HB) DAY 7: SATURDAY DEAD SEA / MASSADA Drive to Qumeran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls where found. There we visit the ruins where the Essenes sought the seclusion of the Judean Desert, where they could follow the Law more closely and wait for the coming Messiah. We drive along the shore of the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth and ascend Massada by cable car, the last stronghold of the Jews after the destruction of the Second Temple in 70 A.D. Your guide will take us on a fascinating tour of this mountain where 960 Jewish defenders organized the last resistance to the Roman Conquerors. Return to Jerusalem. Dinner & Overnight in Jerusalem (HB) DAY 8: SUNDAY

JERUSALEN / TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT / FLIGHT HOME Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Ben Gurion airport for a flight home
