In consideration of my acceptance as a partici-

pant in an event sponsored by Etowah Sheriff’s

Charities, a 501 ( c ) (3) non-profit organization,

known as “The Bull Ride” Cycling Event to be

conducted on May 9, 2015. I do, for myself, my

personal representative, heirs or next of kin,

hereby waive and hold harmless Etowah Sheriff’s

Charities, it’s officers, agents, employees or vol-

unteers from any liability, claims, actions, causes

of actions or suits which may accrue to me for

injury to person or property arising out or in any

way connected with my participation in the afore-

said event.

I do hereby specifically acknowledge that it is my

duty, and I do hereby agree to obey all applica-

ble rules of the road pertaining to my operation

of a bicycle in the course of this event. I do

hereby acknowledge that I have been advised

that Etowah Sheriff’s Charities will in no way con-

trol traffic to which I may become exposed in the

course of this event, or to control or direct traffic

at intersections or along the roads or right of

ways designed for this event. Therefore, it is ex-

pressly understood to be my duty to keep a safe

lookout for my own protections and the protec-

tion of others.

I do hereby certify that I am in excess of 19 years

of age (released by guardian if under 19 years of

age) and that I suffer from no infirmity or condi-

tion which would in any way impair my ability to

execute this document. I do further certify that, to

the best of my knowledge, I suffer from no physi-

cal condition which would in any way place me in

danger by virtue of my participation in this event.

I further acknowledge that I have read this docu-

ment and understand its contents. No statements

have been made to me by any officer, agent, em-

ployee or volunteer of Etowah Sheriff’s Charities

which in any way conflict with my understanding

as set forth in this document.

wear appropriate clothing for conditions as the

ride will go on, rain or shine.

Helmets are REQUIRED by all riders.

For safety of all riders, no music devices will be

allowed (i.e. iPods, mp3s, etc.)

THE BULL RIDE COURSE MAPS

Come join us as we cycle through the beautiful

country-side of the Coosa Valley. This bike ride

will begin at the Etowah County Fairgrounds and

take you through two of Alabama’s most scenic

counties. Your registration fee covers rider sup-

port, such as mechanical and medical support

along each routes, water, refreshments along the

course and finish line foods!

All proceeds benefit Operation Christmas Cheer,

which provides Christmas to children in need in

Etowah County.
