PRINCIPAL’S REPORT PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Middle School Concert
Our Middle School Concert is coming up shortly. Rehearsals are well un-
derway and costumes are being organised. It really is wonderful to wit-
ness the joy on children’s faces as they are trying on costumes and parad-
ing them for others to see. At times, you can walk past a group of children
in the playground, happily singing the songs from their item.
Please ensure that you keep an eye out for notes regarding costumes and
ways in which you can help prepare your child for the concert.
As in previous years, this promises to be an event not to be missed. Tick-
ets will go on sale on Monday. Please get in early to avoid disappointment
as tickets often sell quickly.
The Crow Magazine
Orders are now being taken for our annual school magazine, The Crow.
The publication is a high quality, glossy magazine that is an excellent keep-
sake of your child’s year at school. This year the price has been considera-
bly reduced to $20.
If you require another order form, you may collect one from the office or
your child’s teacher.
Book Parade
Our 2019 Book Character Parade will be on Friday, 23rd August at
10.15am. All children are invited to come to school dressed as their fa-
vourite book character or superhero. Morning tea is available at the can-
teen if family members would like to join their child for recess.

COLOUR RUN ICAS
RIVERINA DANCE ENSEMBLE
SYDNEY FC CUP SOCCER
Well… here is your chance to make that happen! Dear Parents, Carers, Friends and Family,
It is that time of the year when the teachers are working hard to create The Crow.
For our new families, The Crow is the Wagga Wagga Public School magazine (or yearbook).
Every child at WWPS is a part of The Crow. It showcases student effort, learning and
achievement. We are currently sourcing publication options to provide you with the best
value price to purchase this keepsake. The more copies we order, the lower the purchase
price will be!!
There is an extra incentive this year. The class who purchases the most copies of The Crow
will receive bragging rights and a hotdog lunch prepared and delivered by Miss Harvey in
her hotdog costume (If you have more than one child at WWPS and purchase a copy of
The Crow, both classes will receive a point towards the winning class total).
Please keep an eye out for correspondence regarding sponsorship opportunities,
estimated cost and expression of interest to purchase a copy.
Have you ever wondered what Miss Harvey would look like
dressed as a Hotdog?

COLOUR RUN
CONCERT PROPS
School Colour Fun Run Fundraiser The Colour Fun Run Team has been very busy organising the finer details for our Reward Day. We thank you for your assistance in helping with our fundraising effort. Donations do not need to be returned until Week 8, however, in the meantime you will be able to set up an online profile which will enable you to claim your prizes.
Reminder that the purple permission note is due this Friday 23rd August.
To set up your online profile, you will need to go to www.myprofilepage.com.au. Once you get to the webpage you can click ‘REGISTER YOUR CHILD.’ You can then follow the prompts to set up their profile. This will allow your student to enter the total amount they have raised and then choose a prize when the time arrives. Miss O’Connell
3-4O are searching for some props to use in their concert item. If anyone has teletubbie toys, a telephone with a cord or Toy Story 1 dolls that you would be willing to lend to us, could you please send them in to Miss O'Connell. Thank you for your assistance, 3-4O
WWPS GOT TALENT
This year will be the final year for Wagga Wagga Public’s Got Talent. Students who are interested in auditioning for this year’s
spectacular have written their names down and are now awaiting the audition weeks later this term (Week 9 and 10).
If successful with these auditions, students will be given a teacher mentor to help them in the weeks approaching the final round
mid next term (date still to be advised). The mentor will offer suggestions to help tweak the performances or offer some of their
time to watch practice sessions, but the main responsibility of costumes and practising is up to the students.
A note will be given to the students who make it through the audition process with more information regarding their perfor-
mance next term.
Kind regards,
Skye Lipinski
