Waerzeggers 82) The Neo-Babylonian chronicle about Sabium and Apil-Sîn: a copy of the text (BM 29440) — Here I offer a copy of BM 29440, a Neo-Babylonian tablet previously published with a photograph by E. Leichty and C.B.F. Walker, “Three Babylonian Chronicle and Scientific Texts,” in G. Frame (ed.), From the Upper Sea to the Lower Sea. Studies on the History of Assyria and Babylonia in Honour of A.K. Grayson. Istanbul 2004, 203-212 (no. 2, pp. 205-211). The tablet contains a brief chronicle about the Old- Babylonian dynasty, besides a number of astronomical and metrical notitions. The tablet hails from Borsippa and dates roughly to the Neo-Babylonian or early Persian period. I wish to thank the Trustees of the British Museum for permission to publish the copy of this tablet here. It measures 11,1 x 10,3 cm.
