World animal day (WAD) was celebrated on 4th of October to promote awareness on the importance of animal welfare and solution of animal’s issues. World Animal Day began in 1931 as a way to highlight the plight of endangered species. This day has since evolved into a day to honor all the animals of the world, regardless of the celebrators nationality, religion, faith, or political beliefs. This day is not linked to any person, organization, or campaign! It belongs to all of the citizens of the world and all of their animal neighbors!5 It's a day for advocacy, education, unity, involvement, and the raising of awareness for all of the animal issues that exist throughout the world.  You can learn about what different activities and events are taking place throughout the world in celebration by visiting this link as new activities and events are being added every day.

The mission of World Animal Day is to

(1) celebrate animal life in all its forms,(2) celebrate humankind’s relationship with the animal kingdom,(3) acknowledge the diverse roles that animals play in our lives – from being our companions, supporting and helping us, to bringing a sense of wonder into our lives, and(4) acknowledge and be thankful for the way in which animals enrich our lives.

To focusing the objectives of world animals’ day an event an event was organized at The Brooke SRSO Community City Bypass under the Partnership by SRSO-Brooke Project Sukkur. Under this partnership we provide veterinary treatment and free services for the animals and arrange awareness session on BMPs in animal care and husbandry for the owners who depend on the working equine for their livelihood and also to different stakeholders like veterinary service providers-veterinary doctors and local service providers like farriers and saddlers. Participants of the event were include District Manager Ashiq Ali kalwar SRSO, , Dr Mukhtiar Ahmed Noonari V.O Livestock & Fisheries department ,V.O Dr Muzaafar Malik Livestock & fisheries department , District Sukkur Social moblizer Khalid Hussain Abro SRSO, and Dr Siraj Muneer Ansari V.O The Brooke SRSO project Sukkur. All of the participants expressed the importance of animals are the backbone of our country `s economy so we must care these animals in the form of balanced ration, clean, ample drinking water and prevent them from various diseases through proper treatment, care and vaccination. More over the working animals like horses, donkeys and mules used for the transportation of goods, passengers and patients to hospital are the income source of poor equine owning communities. These animals to be treated with great care, should not overloaded. Myths like slitting of nostrils, firing wounds on the body of animals and beating should be avoided as these are the cruelty acts. animals use for many purpose for human being we can use carriage of Bricks,Load,Passengers as ambulance but we never care animals properly we don’t offer water and feeding on the time we put huge load and beating again and again although these animals are very vigorous but their bit in the hand of Human being please take care of animal where ever you are either animals is yours or notAfter that District Manager Sukkur Ashiq Ali kalwar SRSO say few words for Celebration of World animals Day she introduce SRSO activities and the say we need of Special care of animals because we use them for Many Purposes we eat their fresh flesh their hide can be use for making Blanket jackets, Boats and other things she said I am very happy to celebrating that type of event in this year after that every one realized that how much animals have importance in our lives & he also share to cultivate the tree for you & your animals tree are the rich source of oxygen and absorb fatal gasses ,source of shed for your animals & there are many more benefits are in trees every participants are realized and promise that we will take care of theses tree if give us we will cultivate .After that every participants specially equine owners ,from New goth community ,Ismail labano community,Pyaro khan chohan community, Bachal shah community & Pakka Goth community owner share some important point from BMPs as well as they realized the animals are most important in our lives we should take special care of these animals all the day and be in contact with V.Os Livestock & Fisheries department & The Brooke SRSO project . After the session we organized a little walk on famous road of District Sukkur City by pass huge population of citizen travel daily from that road all the participants with his animals they celebrated with and walk for animals care & right of their animals . World Animal Day celebrating the day to realize the animal rights amongst the owners and to ensure the implementation the rights in all aspects.

After the delivering the speeches the awareness walk was conducted all participants including equine owners, SRSO & Brooke guests took part in a walk to show solidarity with the cause of Brooke SRSO partnership Project.

70xpackets of feed (barley and green fodder) were distributed among horses and donkeys owners to offer their animals.

Owner comments;Thank you The Brooke & SRSO who realy take care our sick animals and provided some nutrition for our animals ,also providing free need based treatment ,and guiding us from animal management & Disease.
