Join the Anti-Cuts Campaign! PACT Is against ALL government cuts. Defend our jobs and public services! PACT opposes the austerity measures which seek to force ordinary people to pay for the crisis of the bankers. PACT calls for the tackling of corporate tax evasion and tax avoidance by the rich. PACT calls for the creation of sustainable new jobs for any workers whose jobs are lost

Established by Portsmouth Trades Council in 2010 PACT is a community based anti-cuts group, which brings together workers, students, pensioners, community organisers and all campaigners who oppose the Con-Dem government’s austerity agenda. PACT opposes ALL cuts and supports workers taking industrial action to defend their jobs and community campaigners fighting to defend vital public services. In February PACT was the only group to propose an alternative anti-cuts budget to the City Council, demonstrating how the vicious attacks on jobs and services can be opposed, and how new jobs can be created. Working along side local campaigns PACT has organised rallies and marches across the city and will continue to work alongside the Trades Council to link campaigners together and build a movement to stop the cuts and defeat the Con-Dem government.
