Dear Parish Family,
Over the past two weeks we have experienced a number of people passing from this life. With heartfelt condolences to all of their
families… Margaret Klein died early last Sunday morning, December 28th. Her funeral Mass was celebrated last Wednesday, December
31st. We also had a funeral Mass at our parish on Friday, January 2nd for Charles (Chuck) Chrenko who died on December 29th. Chuck
and his wife, Judy, moved to Florida from Elberta about a year and a half ago, but were both present for our Christmas Mass just 4 days
before Chuck passed. Clariza Rawls lost her daughter, Michelle Rawls, who was buried last Tuesday. And Walter Cummings passed
recently and was buried at Barrancas in Pensacola. Let us keep all of their families in our prayers. Other than Walter, all of the above were
buried in our Prince of Peace Cemetery.
Thanks again to everyone for the prayers and the outpouring of sympathy at the time of my mother’s death. The blessing of family
(natural and supernatural) and her readiness to go to meet the Lord, has made her passing much more joyful than sorrowful. The grace of
God permeated the entire process, especially her last moments on earth.
May the above souls, and all of the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace.
Many thanks to those who decorated the inside and outside of the church – Yvonne Gruber, Arnie Hanson, Dick Fischlein, Calvin &
Alex Muth, David Worsley, Josh & Tommy Worsley, Tucker and Ben Bailey, Irene Kaiser, Ashleigh Bailey, Jill & Bill Byerley, Afton &
Stephen Sylvester and Betty Wood. It looks great!!
Parish notes: Don’t forget to pick up your Christmas book (Jesus Shock), 2015 parish calendar (thanks to Wright Drugs for the
sponsorship) and your new set of tithing envelopes. They will all be in front of the church at the end of Mass today.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
Father James Dean
