DECOLED – IDEAL FORINDOOR APPLICATIONSDecoLED, a highly efficient LED downlight, is the perfect solution forcommercial and residential applications. The die-cast casing is fitted with an easy adjustment function that allows the light to be positioned at the desirable angle. The adaptable spring clip makes installation quick, easy and hassle-free, and is suitable for all types of ceiling.
Thanks to the high light output of DecoLED, the DecoLED 7 W is an ideal replacement for 50 W halogen lamp. This results in an energy saving of more than 87% and reduces CO2 emissions, all of which makes DecoLED the more environmentally sustainable option.

• DecoLED is dimmable with common phase-cut dimmers; minimum dimmer load has to be respected(see list of recommended dimmers on the next pages).

In such cases, the manufacturer'sliability and any entitlement to warranty claims will be invalidated.
General Instructions• Please read these instructions prior to installation/commissioning
and keep them safe for future use.• Any modification carried out on the luminaire itself will invalidate
the manufacturer's liability.• The luminaire contains integrated and non-exchangeable LED light
sources.• Care must be taken to ensure the luminaire is operated only using
the supplied Vossloh-Schwabe control gear and accessories or using an alternative brand of approved control gear.
• Given functional problems, please contact your Vossloh-Schwabe representative.
Installation and Operating Instructions• Depending on the site of operation, the degree of protection will
have to be observed during installation.• Installation of this luminaire may be undertaken only by authorised
and suitably trained staff in accordance with any country-specific regulations.
• Installation must be carried out only after disconnecting the device from mains voltage, i.e. in a voltage-free state.
• For trouble-free operation, it is important to ensure that the permis-sible ambient temperature range ta as stipulated in the datasheet is not exceeded.
• Only ever operate the luminaire with all protective covers in place.• Should the power supply cable be damaged, please scrap the
luminaire and/or contact your VS representative.• Please ensure that the correct supply voltage is applied by checking
it against the voltage requirements of the luminaire and the driver.• Connecting luminaires (LED modules) to supply units that are
already connected to the mains can result in long-term damage.• Touchable luminaire parts can reach high temperatures (risk of
burning)!• Highly flammable materials (e.g. cladding or insulation material)
must be kept away from the luminaire.
Safety Symbols Specifies the minimum clearance to flammable materials
in the direction of radiation.
Indoor operation
Please ensure that the way the luminaire is positioned means there is no reason to expect anyone could look into it for a longer period of time with less clearance than stated in the datasheet

Cleaning Instructions• Depending on the conditions on site, the luminaire must be cleaned

the mains and is given time to cool down.• Never use any flammable, abrasive, harsh or corrosive cleaning
liquids.• Once it has cooled down, the luminaire can be cleaned with a
damp cloth.• Let the luminaire dry fully before switching it back on.

Prime K RInstallation InstructionGeneral safety information • VS product may only be installed and commissioned by authorised and fully qualified staff.• These instructions must be carefully read before installing and commissioning the system,
as this is the only way to ensure safe and correct handling.• Before any work is carried out on the equipment, it must be disconnected from the mains.• All valid safety and accident-prevention regulations must be observed.• The products should never be inexpertly opened as this poses lethal danger due to electrical shock.
Repairs may only be undertaken by the manufacturer.• Prime K R is dimmable with common phase-cut dimmers; minimum dimmer load has to be respected. • The compatibility of the downlights with the dimmer has to be confirmed prior to installation• If module is used in rooms with fast moving parts as the light modulation might cause stroboscopic effects.• This LED module might interfere with displays and cameras due to modulation.• The photo biological safety of the LED modules is classified into risk groups in accordance with EN 62471: 2008
and IEC TR 62778: risk group 1.• In case of broken glass please switch OFF mains (220–240 V) and have a qualified staff replace the complete luminaire.• Do not use PRIME K R in locations containing a bath or shower; Prime K R is IP20 protected.

Safety and assembly information for LED drivers
Electrical installation• Connection terminals: Push-in terminals for rigid or flexible
conductors with a section of 0.2–1.5 mm²• Stripped length: 8.5–10 mm• Wiring: The mains conductor within the luminaire must
be kept short (to reduce the induction of interference). Mains and lamp conductors must be kept separate and if possible should not be laid in parallel to one another. Max. secondary side lead length: 0.8 m
• Polarity: Please ensure the correct polarity of the leads prior to commissioning. Reversed polarity can destroy the modules.
• Through-wiring: Is not allowed.• Parallel wiring: Parallel connection of LED loads is not

High transient currents occur when an LED driver is switched on because the capacitors have to load. Ignition of LED modules occurs almost simultaneously. This also causes a simultaneous high demand for power. These high currents when the system is switched on put a strain on the automatic conductor cut-outs. which must be selected and dimensioned to suit.
• Release reaction The release reaction of the automatic conductor cut-outs comply with VDE 0641. part 11. for B. C characteristics. The values shown in the following tables are for guidance purposes only and are subject to system-dependent change.
• No. of LED drivers The maximum number of VS LED drivers applies to cases where the devices are switched on simultaneously. Specifications apply to single-pole fuses. The number of permissible drivers must be reduced by 20% for multi-pole fuses. The considered circuit impe-dance equals 400 mΩ (approx. 20 m [2.5 mm²] of conductor from the power supply to the distributor and a further 15 m to the luminaire).

Non-observance can result in personal injury and damage to property or can damage both luminaires and control gear. In such cases, the manufacturer's warranty as well as liability will be invalidated.
General Instructions• Please read these instructions prior to installation/commissioning
and keep them safe for future use.• Any improper use or modification will invalidate the manufacturer's
warranty and liability as well as any warranty claims.• The luminaire contains integrated and non-exchangeable LED light
sources.• Care must be taken to ensure the luminaire is operated only using
the supplied Vossloh-Schwabe control gear and accessories or using an alternative brand of approved control gear.
• Children must be prevented from playing with or near the luminaire.
Installation and operating instructions• Installation of this luminaire may be undertaken only by authorised
and suitably trained staff in accordance with any country-specific regulations.
• Installation must be carried out only after disconnecting the device from mains voltage, i.e. in a voltage-free state.
• Depending on the site of operation, the degree of protection (IPxx) will have to be observed during installation.
• Please ensure that the correct supply voltage is applied by checking it against the voltage requirements of the luminaire and the driver.
• For the purpose of commissioning, please ensure the correct polarity of the connecting leads. Incorrect polarity can destroy the modules.
• For trouble-free operation, it is important to ensure that the per- missible ambient temperature range ta as stipulated in the datasheet is not exceeded. Exposure to sunlight can increase the ambient temperature.
• Only ever operate the luminaire with all protective covers in place.• Given functional problems, please contact your Vossloh-Schwabe
representative. Should the power supply cable be damaged, please scrap the luminaire and/or contact your VS representative.
• On contact with moisture or condensation, any resulting corrosive damage will not be recognised as a product flaw or manufacturer’s defect.
• Connecting luminaires (LED modules) to supply units that are already connected to the mains can result in long-term damage. Secondary switching is not permissible.
• Touchable luminaire parts can reach high temperatures (risk of burning/injury.)
• Highly flammable materials (e.g. cladding or insulation material) must be kept away from the luminaire.
• Please ensure protective ESD (electrostatic discharge) measures are taken when handling and installing the luminaire – see VS "ESD Protection" application notes.
• Measurement tolerances: – Luminous flux: ± 10% – Power consumption / voltage: ± 10 % – Colour: max. 5 SDCM
Cleaning instructions• Depending on the conditions on site, the luminaire must be cleaned
on a regular basis.• Never use any flammable, abrasive, harsh or corrosive cleaning
liquids.• Prior to cleaning the luminaire, please ensure it is disconnected from
the mains and is given time to cool down.• Once it has cooled down, the luminaire can be cleaned with a
damp cloth.• Let the luminaire dry fully before switching it back on.

Indoor operation

LEDLine Flex SMD IP67Assembly and Safety InformationInstallation must be carried out under observation of the relevantregulations and standards. The LED modules are designed for opera- tion within a casing or luminaire. Installation must be carried out in avoltage-free state (i.e. disconnection from the mains). The followingadvice must be observed; non-observance can result in the destructionof the LED assembly modules, fire and/or other hazards.• The LEDLine Flex SMD must be operated with a constant-voltage
(CV) LED converter.• Operation only with power supply units that feature the following
protection: – Short-circuit protection – Overload protection – Overheating protection – SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage)
• The maximum output of the power supply must be observed.• Exceeding the max. operating voltage (see table on page 2) leads
to an overload on the LED module. This may result in a reduction of service life or even destroy the LED module.
• LED modules and all PCB components must not be subjected to any undue mechanical stress.
• The LEDLine Flex modules must not be operated in rolled-up conditions.
• The circuit path must not be damaged or interrupted.• Please ensure standard ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection
measures are employed when handling and installing LED modules. Electrostatic discharge can damage LEDs.
• Expected lifetime: 30,000 h (L70/B50) at tp = 45 °C• Each LEDLine Flex SMD IP67 is backed by adhesive tape (3M
Adhesive Tape Type 200MP) for easy assembly. Please observe the manufacturer's technical data provided at www.3M.com/converter. Products equipped with adhesive transfer tape must only be applied to dry and clean surfaces that are free from grease, oil, silicone or other soiling. It is therefore recommended to clean the substrate with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). Please ensure a fullsurface bond over the entire contact area when sticking the module to the substrate.
• The following substances are regarded as critical for creating an adhesive bond: – Polyefins (polyethylene, polypropylene) – Rubber – Powder-coated materials – Silicone rubber – Teflon
For optimum adhesive bonding, a temperature of approx. 25 °Cshould be ensured during installation. In addition, firm pressure must be exerted on the LEDLine Flex tape (but NOT on the SMD com- ponents or solder parts).
• Owing to the varying application options and different types of surface as well as ambient conditions, VS accepts no liability for the quality of the adhesive bond achieved when mounting these products. Prior to sticking a VS product care must be taken to check whether the material in question is actually suitable for the intended purpose under consideration of all possible application-relevant influences. Supplementary holders must be used if necessary.
• The product must be stored no longer than 12 months (in packed condition) at approx. 20 °C and up to 50% relative humidity in order to ensure optimal bonding.
• Storage conditions for LEDine Flex SMD IP67 modules must remain within a temperature range of –20 °C to +60 °C.
• Contacts are created by soldering the leads onto the soldering pads (labelled 24 V ±). The soldering temperature must not exceed • °C. The max. soldering time is • seconds.
• During installation the bending radius must not fall below 60 mm. On sharp edges the LEDLine Flex SMD IP67 may only be bent at a position where no electronic components or solder parts are mounted. The module can be damaged if it is bent in a crosswise or twisted direction (prevent shear or pull-off forces).
• LEDLine Flex modules are suitable only for mounting on rigid and so-lid surfaces. The module must not be mounted on flexible substrates as the LED module would be damaged when the substrate bends.
• LEDLine Flex IP67 modules must bei installed, handeld and bent at a module temperature of between 10 °C to 40 °C.
• The LEDLine Flex SMD IP67 is designed in that way, that the PCB can be carefully separated at every 100 mm step using a pair of scissors or a cutter knife (along the marked line in the middle of the connection pads between two single steps; see drawing on page 3). NOTE: Although all accessories offered by VS have been specifically designed for the LEDLine Flex SMD IP67 modules, and if properly applied, they will meet the IP67 requirements, VS will not be liable for damage caused by moisture and corrosion after the LED module has been cut.
