Pilot at JMU

• Started after several faculty training sessions in late 2010/early 2011

• Running in parallel with MDID2

• Weekly data migration using MDID3 migration tool

• Bug fixes and feature improvements based on automated and user feedback

Student projects

• Students have greater access to features in MDID3

• Faculty asked students to create new slideshows using existing collection content and uploading their own images

• About 180 students participated individually or collaborated in groups

• MDID3 serves as a platform for building web-based multimedia applications

• Stores, manages and delivers data records and media files
