CITY SAFETY

Included as standard on your Volvo V60 is City Safety, which senses potential collisions (active from 2 to 31mph) and can activate the brakes automatically should you notreact in time.

PARK ASSIST PILOT (NOT D4 AWD OR TWIN ENGINE)With ultrasonic sensors placed on all sides of the car, the V60 can take the pain out of parallel parking, detecting suitable parking spaces and steering itself precisely in theavailable space.

LANE KEEPING AID (NOT D4 AWD OR TWIN ENGINE)Forward-facing cameras on the V60 can help keep your car in the intended lane, gently steering the car back on course or alerting you through the steering wheel.

LANE DEPARTURE WARNING (D4 AWD AND TWIN ENGINE ONLY)Cameras constantly monitor the V60's position on the carriageway, gently warning the driver if roadside markings are crossed without obvious reason such as use of the turnindicator.

ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROLWhen engaged, adaptive cruise control makes driving the V60 even more relaxing, using radar to maintain a set distance to the car in front. As soon as a slower vehicle isdetected, the car's speed will automatically adapt to match it, keeping you at a safe distance. The useful Queue Assist function (available on vehicles with automatictransmission) can keep the gap even in queues with repeated starting and stopping.

ROAD SIGN INFORMATIONThe V60 can also help you stay informed by displaying road sign information within your instrument display, including speed limit signs and "no overtaking" warnings.

ACTIVE HIGH BEAMIn addition to Active Bending Xenon Lights, which swivel the headlamps to follow the road, you can also specify Active High Beam - enabling the car itself to switch betweenhigh and low beam when on-coming traffic approaches.

VOLVO ON CALLThis GPS communication system helps you stay connected to your car, helping you locate your vehicle, lock and unlock it, and even see all your dashboard readings (fuellevels, trip meter, etc.) - all from your smartphone or mobile device. Plus, it means emergency assistance is available at the touch of a button.

PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST DETECTIONThe groundbreaking Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection technology with full auto brake, detects and automatically brakes for cyclists swerving out in front of the car. Theadvanced sensor system scans the area ahead. If a cyclist heading in the same direction as the car suddenly swerves out in front of the car, as it approaches from behind, itwill prompt you to act with a flashing warning light on the windscreen, along with an audible alarm. If you do not react to the warning, and a collision is imminent, the carimmediately brakes with full braking force.

BLIND SPOT INFORMATION SYSTEM WITH CROSS TRAFFIC ALERTThe radar based BLIS technology informs the driver about other vehicles in the blind spots on both sides of the car and also monitors and alerts drivers to rapidlyapproaching vehicles up to 70 metres behind the car. Cross Traffic Alert uses the radar sensors at the rear end of the vehicle to alert the driver to crossing traffic from thesides when reversing out of a parking space.
