Are you interested in bringing social justice issues alive in the class-room and with youth groups?

We are looking for volunteers to support our outreach work with youth groups and in primary and post-primary schools during the academic year. If you are passionate about social justice and about engaging with children and young people on these issues, we want to hear from you! This role involves:

• Delivering presentations and talks to groups of primary and post primary students;

• Supporting the delivery of workshops with youth groups;

• Undertaking cheque collections and thank you visits to schools and youth groups on our behalf;

• Providing support at school and youth related events.

If you want to challenge the root causes of global injustice and help bring about positive change, join our community of campaigns and activism volunteers!

These volunteers get involved in a variety of activities including:

• Talking to the public at festivals and other events about our campaigns;

• Gathering petition signatures and campaign sign-ups;

• Supporting public demonstrations and campaign stunts;

• Lobbying politicians and other key decision-makers.

Would you like to raise awareness of Trócaire’s work and its impact on communities in the developing world to people in your parish community?

You can:

• Raise awareness of Trócaire’s annual Lenten campaign in your parish e.g. creating a Trócaire-themed sacred space, ensuring the Trócaire posters are displayed in churches in your locality, speaking at masses in any parish over one weekend during the season of Lent;

• Promote and sell our range of Trócaire Gifts during advent;

• Help to promote Trócaire emergency appeals to people in your parish – material and ways to do this will be provided.
