Volunteers Needed forDecks and The City!
What: Volunteer at a fundraiser.
Where: Zhou B. Art Center 1029 W. 35th Street
When: Friday, September 23 5:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
Why: To prevent homelessness by supporting Chicago Coalition for the Homeless.
Chicago Coalition for the Homeless leads strategic campaigns, community outreach, and public policy initiatives that target the lack of affordable housing in metropolitan Chicago and Illinois. Our policy specialists, public interest attorneys, and community organizers work with people hurt by homelessness - mothers with children, unaccompanied youth, ex-offenders, prostitution survivors , and low-wage workers.
Dealers Blackjack
Be a dealer! Probably the most fun volunteer position! Dealers need to attend a training session. Players will be playing for chips, which can be used to buy raffle
tickets.
Check-in Greet people and sell tickets at the door, as well as distribute initial set of chips, drink ticket, and VIP wristbands. Also help
guests sign up for silent auction.
Chip and Drink Ticket Bank Distribute chips and drink tickets that are available for
purchase.
Food ServiceFood will be served buffet style. For food service, we are looking for people with some experience.
Set up/Take down Help set up the event before. Help clean up after the
event.
