S. and Mr. Krunal Doshi, Lecturer, Dept. of Dravyaguna, I. I. A. P. S., participated in it. Dr. Joban Modha gave an emphatic speech on “Role of Gujarat Ayurved University in Synergizing Ancient Science with Modern Technology to Enhance Drugs - Quality, Purity, Strength, Safety and Efficacy”. Main aim of this presentation was to take initiative to offer a “CHAIR - a person who will work as a bridge between manufacturers and Institute for betterment and for the bright future of Ayurved”. He also put forward the problems/lacuna of Ayurvedic Industries and their solutions which are available at Gujarat Ayurved University; expectations of University from Ayurved Pharmacies like adoption of seats in I. I. A. P. S.; organizing campus interview; participation in syllabus designing; conjoined conduction of workshops/seminars and commencement of various research activities in I. I. A. P. S. in the upcoming years. The members of GAAMA and ADMA gave a positive and promising response to the above proposal which was eloquently represented by Dr. Joban Modha. Around fifty different Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical Industries like Himalaya K. Patel Phyto extractions Pvt. Ltd., an ISO 9001:2008, GMP, KOCHAR & HALAL certified company, organized One Day Pharma Meet “MANOMANTHAN” on th 11 April, 2014 in the premises of the company at Bhilad, Vapi. The meet was organized with the vision to synergize ancient science with modern technology to enhance drugs' quality, purity, strength, safety and efficacy. The renowned Ayurvedic pharmacies of Gujarat and Gujarat Ayurved University, the only hub of Ayurved Pharmacists and Ayurvedic Doctors in Gujarat, were invited to attend this meet. Ÿ Mr. Krishna Shah (Owner, Achyut Pharmaceutical & Krishna Sales Agency), Ahmedabad gave a speech on ‘ SCM (Sales Chain Management) - Backbone of Business & Marketing : A Promising career’. He gave a new vision to the students for further education after completing B. Pharm. in the field of business administration like MBA in Marketing & MBA in Pharma, which has a bright and promising carrier opportunity in Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical sector.

Participation in Prakriti ParikshanthOn 13 March, 2014, Dr. Swapnil Auti (Research Assistant, Ayurgenomics Project) and Miss Greeva Bhatt (Research

Assistant, Ayurgenomics Laboratory, IPGT & RA) gave an introductory presentation on Ayurgenomics Project, which was followed by saliva collection of students and staff of I. I. A. P. S. for Prakriti parikshan.

Bidding Farewell to The Final Year StudentsrdOn 3 April, 2014, the Institute bid heart felt farewell to the final year students of D. Pharm. (Ayu.) and B. Pharm. (Ayu.).

Various stage events like dances, drama, journey of both final year students in I. I. A. P. S., presentation on Industrial tour of B. Pharm. (Ayu.) final year and songs were performed by the students. Different awards were given to the students, which were sponsored by Lions Club, Jamnagar (West).

Mr. Shalmalsha Udani, Mr. Shailesh Gadhvi and other members of Lions Club, Jamnagar (West) were the prestigious guests of this occasion.

Final year students shared their pleasant and unforgettable experiences and gave their valuable suggestions for the betterment of the Institute.

Dr. Joban Modha blessed the students for the new venture which they would start in the near future and wished them luck to achieve their goals in their carrier.

I. I. A. P. S. Class of The Year AwardOn the basis of overall performance and participation in various curricular & co-curiccular activities throughout the year,

B. Pharm. II year won the class of the year award for the academic year 2013-14. The trophy was sponsored by Lions Club (West).

Vaidya Shri Rajesh Kotecha, Vice Chancellor, Gujarat Ayurved University was the Chief Guest of this event. The Guests of Honour were Mr. Ashokbhai Shah (Trustee, M. P. Shah Charitable Trust), Mr. Pradeepbhai Madhvani (Editor, Nobat Dainik), Mr. Shyamalsha Udani (President, Lions Club) and Mr. Shailesh Gadhvi (Zone Chair person, Lions Club ). The sincere efforts of Dr. Joban Modha (Principal, I. I. A. P. S.), Mr. Hitesh Sakhiya (Project Chairman), Mr. Shailesh Gadhvi and Mr. Shyamalsha Udani made this event a grand success.

This type of initiative has been implemented from this year by Dr. Joban Modha (Principal, I. I. A. P. S.) to encourage and improve punctuality and discipline amongst the students of this Institute.

Students’ Corner - ‘Thinking Out Of The Box’The theme of the students' corner for the second week of March was 'Know Your Herbs'. The students collected various

fresh and dried herbs, searched their detailed description and exhibited on the students' corner. The activity encouraged students to learn the concepts of the curriculum in an innovative and interesting way. This students' activity corner is not just the place to execute skills but is also the place where the students can directly share their knowledge with each other and encourage scientific thinking and healthy discussion.
