Fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner
Bring your favorite wine and
join us! Mark your calendar for
the February 27th Ridge Manor
News 2nd Annual Spaghetti Din-
ner fundraiser at the Commu-
nity Center of Ridge Manor,
34240 Cortez Blvd. from 5 to
7pm. Dinner will include all-you
-can-eat spaghetti with meat
sauce/meatballs and a tossed salad and garlic
bread, for just $7! Sweet and unsweet tea, lemon-
ade coffee and water will also be available.
The cost of publishing the Ridge Manor News is
increasing as is everything else, and much of our
equipment needs upgrading and paper, ink and
supplies have increased substantially, and the
answer is not always to raise advertising prices.
What better way to raise money than to throw
a great dinner and spend time with friends and
neighbors. So mark your calendars for Thursday,
February 27th from 5 to 7 pm. And don't forget
the wine!

Hernando Audubon Activities
Hernando Audubon Meeting: Backyard Bird-
feeding 101 will be the topic of a talk by Lucy Po-
lak and Greg Williams, both from Wild Birds Unlim-
ited, Tampa. The essential elements of attracting
birds to a yard are food, water, shelter, and nest-
ing opportunity. Different types of feeders offering
a variety of food, ranging from seed and peanuts
to suet and mealworms, will attract more birds to
a backyard. The speakers will talk about the im-
portance of offering water and nesting boxes.
