Volume 1: Environmental Scoping Report
EOH Coastal & Environmental Services 144 FWF WWTW Biogas Project
venture.
Jenny Rump Smells The Risk Assessment specialist assigned to this project has stated that odours will not be an issue with regards to the biogas plant. It is highly likely that the biogas plant will result in far less odour releases in comparison to the present situation as the proposed technology is far more advanced than the current technology implemented on site. A Quantitative Risk Assessment has already been completed by Riscom (Pty) Ltd and is included in Appendix 5 of this report – this report looks at the odours associated with the methane and carbon dioxide which will be emitted by the proposed biogas plant.
