I, ROBERT GOTT, Director (Marine Resources), acting under Rule 9 of the Fisheries (Abalone) Rules 2009, and delegated authority under Section 20(1) of the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995, hereby determine that the dates of the closed season for the commercial blacklip abalone fishery for the taking of blacklip abalone (Haliotis rubra) for commercial purposes from State waters off the south-east coast of Tasmania are as follows:

- from 12 September 2011 to 31 December 2011, inclusive;

where “State waters off the south-east coast of Tasmania” is defined to mean: those State waters within an area bounded by an imaginary line commencing from where the line of latitude 42° 58’ 12.29” south intersects with the high water mark in Deep Glen Bay and runs approximately south following the line of high water mark to where the line of latitude 43° 13’ 17.94” south intersects with the high water mark at Cape Pillar, then runs due east to the outer limit of State waters, then runs due north to the line of latitude 42° 59’ 17.94” south, then runs due west to the line of longitude 148° 01’ 28.37” east, then runs approximately north-west to where the line of latitude 42° 58’ 12.29” south intersects with the high water mark in Deep Glen Bay.

The commercial blacklip abalone fishery in State waters off the south-east coast is being closed from 12 September 2011 until 31 December 2011 as part of arrangements to control the total amount of abalone harvested in that area in the interest of resource sustainability. This closed area relates to commercial blacklip abalone fishing in fishing sub-blocks 22A, 22B and 22C only.

(1) Ambulance Service (Fees) Regulations 2011

These regulations −

(a) prescribe certain fees payable in respect of ambulance services provided under the Ambulance Service Act 1982; and

(b) are made consequentially on the repeal of the Ambulance Service (Fees) Regulations 2001 under section 11 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1992.

(2) Proclamation under section 11(2) of the Nature Conservation Act 2002

This proclamation, under the Nature Conservation Act 2002 −

(a) declares certain areas of Crown land to be reserved land in the class of conservation area; and

(b) in doing so, creates certain new conservation areas and extends an existing conservation area.

(3) Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Amendment (Road Safety Levy) Regulations 2011

These regulations amend the Vehicle and Traffic (Driver Licensing and Vehicle Registration) Regulations 2010 by −

(a) extending, until 30 November 2017, the period during which the road safety levy is payable; and

(b) increasing that levy.

(4) Poisons List Amendment Order (No. 2) 2011

This order amends the Poisons List Order 2001 by incorporating changes recommended by the National Drugs and Poisons Schedule Committee in the Standard for the Uniform Scheduling of Medicines and Poisons No. 2, Amendment No. 1.
