I went for my school reunion last evening and all that I heard was 'Hey !! you have changed'. The words reverberated all through the night – 'I have changed'. Have I changed? I got up from my bed in the middle of the night and stood in front of the mirror. What I saw was not too bad and I did not want it in any other way but what I didn't see is what I wanted to change. I woke up far happier, for now .. I had decided to change. I have always loved my son, parents, husband ...for once I want to love myself. Yes I will change. I have a lways h idden my emotions under a blanket of grace or embarrassment … for once I want to roar and laugh or sob and cry. I have always withdrawn when someone played dirty…for once I want to remain undisturbed to run me out of rat race. I am not a rat thus this race is not for me.Whatever God gave me, I a c c e p t e d w i t h f o l d e d hands…for once I want to demand what is due to me. Compliments came when I

I WILL change .....dressed when was to be with him…for once I want to be complimented for being what I am. Wearing, walking, eating, ta lk ing as per soc ie t ies expectations… for once I want to walk in a creased shirt and still feel beautiful. I will not make a fortune by bargaining with my “sabji wala”… for once I want to feel magnanimous. The house needs me, or so I believe but am I an 'Atlas' r e s t i n g w o r l d o n m y shoulders…for once I want to off load it. “ I hear you all the time with the same story”, I won't say that again to my ageing parents.... for once I will show enthusiasm in their only story told the hundredth time. I will walk and if need be walk away from people who do not value me… for once I need to know my worth. I change today, I live today like my last day….after all who knows it really may be the last. I will do everything that makes me happy. I am responsible for my happiness and that's the least I owe to myself.

Child Behaviour – To Share is to CareLearning to share can be a c h a l l e n g e f o r y o u n g children, but sharing is a skill they need for play and l e a r n i n g t h r o u g h o u t childhood. Every child will learn to share if we give them plenty of time and opportunities to practise. Sharing is a vital life skill. It's something toddlers and children need to learn so they can make and keep f r i e n d s a n d p l a y cooperatively. Once the child starts having play dates and going to child care, preschool or kindergarten, he'll need to be able to share with others. Children learn a lot from just watching what their parents do. Examples are as fallows-·When we see our child trying to share or take turns, we should give lots of praise and attention.·Play games with the child that involve sharing and turn-taking. Talk to the child through the steps, saying things like, 'Now it's my turn to build the tower, then it's your turn. You share the red blocks with me, and I'll share the green blocks with you'.·Talk to the child about

This works out to be around Rs 18 per flat pe r mon th f o r t he society which is nothing if we compare this to the electronic composing machines which cost anywhere between 2-15 lacs with a very high o p e r a t i n g c o s t o f around Rs 120 per flat p e r m o n t h . sharing before she/he has play dates with other children. The child can be ta lked about shar ing before she/he starts child care or preschool.Although it's important to

share, it's OK f o r children t o h a v e

some toys that they keep just for themselves. I P S A A b e l i e v e s i n discouraging the parents to get toys from home which can help avoid problems with sharing however, will encourage t h e c h i l d r e n t o g e t d e t a c h e d w i t h t h e i r favour i te toy outs ide instead learn to care and share different toys with other children.Sharing at different ages·To d d l e r s p r o b a b l y doesn't understand what sharing is. In general, young toddlers believe they're the centre of the world and that everything belongs to them. For sharing, children also need to be able to manage t h e i r e m o t i o n s , a n d toddlers are only starting

to learn how to do this. So, consequences for not

sharing probably won't help your toddler learn to s h a r e . I n s t e a d , e n c o u r a g e m e n t a n d practice will work better.·Pre-schoolers by age three, many children are beginning to understand about turn-taking and sharing. For example, your pre-schooler wil l probably understand that sharing equally is the 'fair' thing to do, but he still might not be keen to put sharing into action when it comes to giving something up. He might also still be impatient when waiting his turn. You can build your pre-schooler's sharing skills by watching for and praising good turn-taking, encouraging fairness and explaining about sharing. IPSAA teaches children Sha r i ng i s a l l abou t compromise and fairness. They learn that if we give a little to others, we can get some of what we want as well. IPSAA believes that clear communication and connection with every child will lead to Care and Share.

What constutes covered areas must be defined. Who has verified and cerfied the super area declared by Builder, of the flats, for purpose of calculaon of Stamp Duty. It should be cerfied by Noida Authority with submion of compleon drawings. It cannot be different for builder, for purpose of sale, who wants more money for less areas and different for Stamps department of District Magistrate who want to stamp duty on actual covered areas declared by builder and approved by Noida Authority.Covered Area has to be the FAR unit area as declared in the final compleon drawings, or plinth area (an area within four walls of the flat) i.e. the carpet area plus the external walls, as declared in the fi n a l c o m p l e o n d r a w i n g s submied by the builder and has calculated the built-up permissible FAR areas. Thus as per the above menoned circular under reference, point no. 3, on page 67, only 15% have to be added for all the five services(fire b a c k- u p , co m m u n i t yc e nt re , swimming pool, Gym, Li) over the FAR unit area of 99.33 ( being the actual FAR covered area built). Thus

The 5 towers of Mahagun Maestro is

located in sector 50, Noida, is an

apartment complex that houses

about 188 plus families. Mahagun

maestro was built by Mahagun Realtors

Pvt Ltd 10 years before and currently

occupancy is 99%. In 2009 when we took

the handover from the builders we faced

major challenges like builder did not

transferred sinking fund to RWA, he

refunded back to apartment owners.

AOA had to collect the fund again.

Generator capacity was much less

than sold, had to follow up with

builder to increase it. Seepages in

swimming pool and suspension joints. AOA h a d

to chase builder a lot. The maintenance agency w a s

affiliated to builder hence, AOA had to find a new maintenance agency. To

make our society clean and hygiene, Inially we worked with NGO, was

collecng the waste and recycle it. Currently in discussion with many garbage

segregaon agencies who have facility to decompose bio degradable waste.

SOCIETY OF THE MONTH : MAHAGUN MAESTROemployed professional facility management company to take care of society

maintenance. We are very concern about the security, Society has guards for

each tower and main gate. Also have gunman during night. There is intercom

facility and no one is allowed entry before permission from the resident. More

than 20 CCTV cameras at key places. To prevent the fire we have fire pipe line

around the society and each floor in society. Sprinklers in the basement.

Adequate amount of fire exnguishers. Residents in Mahagun Maestro

celebrate all naonal and cultural fesvies with enthusiasm. We have annual

Diwali mela with many residents put up games, food and other stalls. Holi

dahan and milan with DJ and rain dance and lunch post holi. Aug 15 and Jan 26

flag hosng and sports events. Events during other major fesvals. Other sports

events like Swimming compeon and badminton compeon. So many

achievements we got aer take handover from the builder, able to maintain

society using less money. Also builder was charging much more on account of

the electricity (Had sold more amount of KVA to residents however taken much

less load from the electricity board) Apart from that he collected Rs. 550/- per

flat for common area electricity. We have been able to reduce the common area

electricity charge to only Rs 150/- also we are able to maintain (AMC and other

material cost) of generator and panels without any extra contribuon from the

residents. Completed building paint, covered lobby area with glass, ARD in lis

is under process. To make society eco friendly we are Changing all the bulbs to

LED gradually. Also planning to deploy garbage segregaon. The goal for 2019 is

adding more CCTV coverage, deploy garbage segregaon.

When my son was a toddler, I regularly spilled milk in front of him during meal time. “Oops, oh well, no big deal, let's clean it up!!” I would say in my high-pitched, goofy mom voice. Before he could speak, I sensed that he was wired for p e r f e c t i o n i s m

Why We Should Encourage Mistakes in School

By : Dr. Amy L. Eva

( someth ing very familiar to me), so I attempted to n o r m a l i z e d a y - t o - d a y mistakes and to show him how easy it w a s t o bounce back from them.We're in the thick of the spi l led-mi lk journey right

now—learn ing to accept and embrace mistakes on a larger scale.Children are watching each other closely both in school and online—judging, c o m p a r i n g , a n d evaluat ing—whi le m e n t a l h e a l t h c o n d i t i o n s l i k e a n x i e t y a n d

depression are on the rise.Our performance-based school culture may not be helping, b u t t h e r e i s a n alternative—and it involves guiding our students to embrace the ve ry fa i l u res they're trying to avoid.

Mistakes help us to learn IIn her 2017 paper “Learning from Errors,” p s y c h o l o g i s t J a n e t Metcalfe c laims that avoiding and ignoring m i s t a k e s a t s c h o o l appears to be the rule in modern classrooms—and it may be holding back our e d u c a o n s y s t e m . Drawing on research, she argues that students may actually benefit from making mistakes (and correcng them) rather

than avoiding them at all costs.Fail first, then learn: Researchers in Singapore idenfied the value of “producve failure group and direct instrucon group. In the direct instrucon group, students learned to solve complex math p r o b l e m s w i t h t h e teacher helping them along the way. In the producve failure group, h o w e v e r, s t u d e n t s struggled and failed at solving problems unl the teacher stepped in to help them analyze their failed aempts and find the correct soluon. As a result, the producve failure group outscored the direct instrucon group on both simpler a n d m o r e c o m p l e x problems during a final

test. Be confident and be wrong: Mulple studies suggest that the more confident you are in the wrong answer, the more likely you will remember the right answer aer you are corrected.

Boom line: Encourage persistence. ''Keep trying, Don't give up.” If we embrace and even study errors in our classrooms, students may actually learn more. Generally teachers and students tend to avoid talking about mistakes at school. However, there are good reasons to rethink our approach to mistakes so that we can help our students to ulmately benefit—both academically and emoonally. It's okay to “mess up” and spill the milk. There is even beauty in vulnerability. It gives us space to find our strength.

study errors in our

classrooms, students may

actually learn more”
