PNG Grant AwardedThe Chicago Ridge Public Library was awarded a second Project Next Generation Grant. Our grant titled “Learn Today, Lead Tomorrow” will focus on students ages 10–18. Library mentors will run programs on digital literacy by introducing clubs about photography, videography, and sewing to our youth. New technologies introduced to our library include: green screen digital photography, 3D printing, and machine embroidery. Each component will last 6 weeks. Funding for this grant was awarded by the Illinois State Library, a Department of the Office of Secretary of State, using funds provided by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
