NOVA: Boys and Girls (kindergarten to grade 1) PTV’s entry level program offers an exciting holistic program for boys and girls. Children in this group are encouraged to learn to use their singing voices in an ensemble, to learn to read and write simple music patterns and to develop musical ideas through instrumental play and movement. NOVA is an un-auditioned program. Class size is limited to twenty children and registered first-come, first-served basis.

Rehearsals begin Tuesday January 5, 2021 and continue to May 11 2021 Classes are held at Royal School, 450 Laxdal St. There are two sessions: 4:30 - 5:15 and 5:20 - 6:05.

Minnesingers: Girls (grades 2 - 3) The young choristers experience their first steps as choral musicians and are introduced to the basics of vocal technique, early music reading and listening skills. Placement is based on vocal and choral experience.

Rehearsals beginTuesday January 5, 2021and continue to May 13, 2021. Rehearsals are held at Pacific Junction School, 715 Cathcart St. from 5:00 - 6:00.

PTV Boys Training Choir: Boys (grades 2 - 4) The young choristers experience their first steps as choral musicians and are introduced to the basics of vocal technique, early music reading and listening skills. Placement is based on vocal and choral experience.

Rehearsals begin Thursday January 7, 2021 and continue to May 13, 2021. Rehearsals are held at Ecole South Pointe School, 615 Kirkbridge Dr. from 5:00 - 6:00.

Choraliers: Girls (grades 4 - 5) All members are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment to rehearsals, as they hone their vocal technique, music and listening skills. At this level, children develop strong choral independence as they explore the best in children’s choral literature. Placement is based on vocal and choral experience.

Rehearsals begin Thursday January 7, 2021 and continue to May 13, 2021. The rehearsals will be held at the University of Manitoba campus from 5:30 -6:45.

Chorale: Girls (grades 6 - 8) This ensemble provides a stimulating experience for girls. Choristers work together to produce exceptional tone colour and vibrant sound which demonstrates strong choral independence. Placement is based on vocal and chorale experience.

Rehearsals begin Wednesday January 6, 2021 and continue to May 12, 2021. The rehearsals will be held at the University of Manitoba Campus from 6:30 - 8:30 and one Saturday morning a month.. Some zoom rehearsals may be held in the fall in preparation for the MCO performance in April, 2021.

PTV Boys: Boys (grades 4 - 8) This group provides a stimulating choral experience for boys with unchanged voices who love to sing. The boys demonstrate a superior level of commitment to rehearsals, camps and tours as they are challenged to develop their personal voice technique, music reading and listening skills. They are encouraged to move to PTV Men as their voices change, thus offering a seamless transition. .

Rehearsals begin Wednesday January 6, 2021 and continue to May 12, 2021. The rehearsals will be held at the University of Manitoba Campus from 5:30 - 7:30 and one Saturday morning a month. Some zoom rehearsals may be held in the fall in preparation for the MCO performance in April, 2021.

Cantemus: Young Women The internationally acclaimed Cantemus provides an exceptional choral experience for young women. They demonstrate a superior level of commitment to rehearsals, camps and tours as they are challenged to develop their personal vocal technique, music reading and listening skills. Placement is based on vocal and choral experience.

They demonstrate a superior level of commitment to rehearsals, camps and tours as they are challenged to develop their personal vocal technique, music reading and listening skills. Placement is based on vocal experience.

Rehearsals begin the Monday January 2 and continue until May 9, 2021. The rehearsals will be held at the University of Manitoba campus from 6:30 - 9:00 and one Saturday morning a month.

PTV Singers: Members of Cantemus and PTV Men All members sing together as an SATB ensemble as well as their equal voice ensembles. They also participate in four concerts each year, annual tours and appear regularly as guests artists with Winnipeg’s professional choirs and orchestras.
