One day a woman named Louise fell asleep in her bed, and dreamed a very frightful dream. She dreamed that someone in Hell wrote a letter to her, and it was delivered to her by a messenger. Louise dreamed that the messenger walked to her house, came inside, and gently but firmly woke her up. He gave her the message, saying Only that a friend had written it to her from Hell. And never did you point the way. You knew the Lord in truth and glory,

But never did you tell the story. My knowledge then was very dim; You could have led me safe to Him.

Though we lived together on the earth, You never told me of the second birth, And now I stand this day condemned, Because you failed to mention Him.

You taught me many things, that's true, I called you "friend" and trusted you.

But I learn now that it's too late, You could have kept me from this fate. We walked by day and talked by night, And yet you showed me not the light. You let me live, and love, and die, You knew I'd never live on high. Yes, I called you a "friend" in life,

And trusted you through joy and strife. And yet on coming to the end,

I cannot, now, call you "My Friend." --- Marsha ---

Cousin Leroy

A woman goes to the doctor for her yearly physical. The nurse starts with certain basic items. "How much do you weigh?" she asks. "115," she says. The nurse puts her on the scale. It turns out her weight is 140. he nurse asks, "Your height?" "5 foot 8," she

says. The nurse checks and sees that she only measures 5' 5".She then takes her blood pressure And tells the woman it is very high. "Of course it's high!" she screams, "When I came in here I was tall and slender! Now I'm short and fat!"

Submitted by Lula Chancellor of Hartford, KY

This morning on the freeway, Leroy was in an accident. When the Police officer asked him what happened Leroy replied; I looked over to my left and there was this Woman In a brand new Cadillac Doing 65 mph With her Face up next to her Rear view mirror Putting on her eyeliner. I looked away For a couple seconds And when I looked back she was Halfway over in my lane, Still working on that makeup. As a man, I don't scare easily. But she scared me so much; I dropped my corn dog, Which knocked The donut out of my other hand. In all The confusion of trying To straighten out the truck using my knees against The steering wheel, it knocked my cell phone away from my ear which fell into the coffee between my legs, splashed, and burned my leg, ruined the phone, soaked my britches, and disconnected an important call I was havin with Bubba. GRRRR WOMEN DRIVERS!!!

A man observed a woman in the grocery store with a three-year-old girl in her basket. As they passed the cookie section, the little girl asked for cookies and her mother told her, "No." The little girl immediately began to whine and fuss, and the mother said quietly, "Now Jane, we just have half of the aisles left to go through - don't be upset. It won't be long now." Soon, they came to the candy aisle and the little girl began to shout for candy. When told she couldn't have any, she began to cry. The mother said, "There, there, Jane, don't cry - only two more aisles to go and then we'll be checking out." When they got to the checkout stand, the little girl immediately began to clamor for gum and burst into a terrible tantrum upon discovering there'd be no gum purchased. The mother said serenely, "Jane, we'll be through this check out stand in 5 minutes and then you can go home and have a nice nap." The man followed them out to the parking lot and stopped the woman to compliment her. "I couldn't help noticing how patient you were with little Jane. It's quite commendable," he remarked. The mother replied, "I'm Jane. My little girl's name is Tammy."

THE PATIENCE OF A MOTHER

Bubba

Bubba's sister was pregnant and was in a bad car accident, which caused her to fall into a deep coma. After nearly six months, she awakens and sees that she is no longer pregnant. Frantically, she asks the

doctor about her baby. The doctor replies, "Ma'am, you had twins - a boy and a girl. The babies are fine. Your brother came in and named them." he woman thinks to herself, "Oh, no! Not Bubba; NOT BUBBA!" Expecting the worst, she asks the doctor, "Well, what's the girl's name?" "Denise," the doctor answers. The new mother thinks, "Wow! That's a beautiful name, maybe I was wrong about Bubba. I really like the name Denise.

"What's the boy's name?" The doctor replies, "Denephew."

Evangelist Chree Lynn Simms

“Sanctify them through Thy truth: Thy Word is truth.” John17:17

“For ever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven.” Ps. 119:89

A few years ago, I testified about a concept the Lord was just beginning to teach me. I told how speaking God’s Word , which is alive and powerful, over life’s situations would change things for the better. I stated that when you are be-lieving God for something that you should watch your words carefully and speak only what God’s Word said about it or speak words that agreed with what God’s Word said about it. I instructed the people to stop complaining and talk-ing about the problem and start proclaiming and talking about the answer. I thought it was a very good testimony. Afterward I was approached by an elder lady of the church. She said, “Lynn, if I am sick and all I say is, ‘By His stripes I am healed’, am I lying? The Bible clearly tells us not to lie.” I opened my mouth to answer, then shut it again. I had to admit, I didn’t know how to answer her question. I went home that night and prayed over her question. I knew what I’d said in the meeting was right. I also knew that lying was sinful. I read the Word and waited for the Lord’s an-swer. He led me to the above verses among others, and I began to see that what I’d always considered truth was not always truth. The truth is whatever God’s Word says. The truth can not be changed. The truth today and the truth tomorrow will always be the same. No one can ever change the truth, it is for ever settled in heaven. The truth is quick (alive), powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword. The truth, which is our weapon, is mighty through God even to the pulling down of strongholds.. Most facts however are not forever settled. I had always considered every fact to be truth before, but I had been wrong. Facts are subject to change. It may be a fact that you have no money today, but thank God that fact is subject to change at any given moment! It may be a fact that you are sick today even terminally, but remember facts are subject to change. You could be sad one day (a fact), but rejoicing the next morn-ing (also a fact). You could be tired one day but full of energy the next. Why is that so? Because facts are changeable things, they are temporal (temporary). The truth (God’s Word) is eternal. What is truth today will remain truth for ever. God’s Word is truth and you can never have God’s Word in your mouth consistently and be telling a lie. God can not lie. If God suddenly one day said that all the blue things were black, immediately every blue thing would begin to turn black. Why? Because everything that comes from the mouth of God is truth. The Bible says that He is not man that He should lie. Paul put it so eloquently by saying, “Let God be true and every man a liar.” God’s truths were written for the believer. If you are a believer in Him and you are being led by His Spirit then you qualify to benefit from all His truth. Confessing the truth over your life is a big part of having it. In Mark 11, the Bible says that if a man believes what he says, then he shall have whatsoever he sayeth.” You can believe the truth, say it and have it or you can be-lieve a lie, say it enough and have that too. No wonder Jesus said that if you were His disciples indeed that you would know the truth and the truth would make you free. Remember truth is whatever God said. When you set yourself to believe the truth and begin to declare that unchangeable truth over the changeable facts in your life, the facts will have to start changing to conform to the truth that you are speaking consistently. The fact may be that you are sick, but if you are following Jesus, the truth says that you are healed by His stripes. Say that. It may be a fact that you have no money, but if you are a giver then the truth says that men will give unto you. Say that. You may be at the bottom of the barrel of life, but if you are a doer of His Word, then the truth says that He has made you the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. Say that. It may be a fact that you have enemies who are getting the upper hand right now, but the truth says that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and every tongue risen against you in judgment you can condemn. Say that. The facts can never change the truth, but the truth, when believed, spo-ken and applied will always change the facts for the better. Believe the truth today, speak the truth today and follow hard after the One from whom all blessing flows and your life will begin blooming with God’s wonderful truths like never before.

You Preachers Make Me Sick

"Oh, you preachers make me sick!" a fellow said to a witnessing Christian on the train one day. The Christian as-sured him he was not a preacher. "I don't care what you are. You Christians are always talking about a man going to hell because Adam sinned." "No," the Christian said, "you need not go to hell because Adam sinned. You will go to hell because you refuse the remedy provided for Adam's sin. Don't keep complaining about something that has absolutely been taken care of. If you go to hell, you will go over the broken body of Jesus Christ, who died to keep you out."

Take us, the little foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines; for our vines have tender grapes.

Song of Solomon 2:15

One of the things satan uses on us is to keep us busy in non essentials of life and invent schemes to occupy our mind. He wants us to keep our mind on everything but Jesus. He wants to keep our mind on tv, vcr, radio even computers. On everything but spiritual things. He does not want us to pray and seek God because he knows that there is power in prayer. He wants us to stay in debt so we will have to work more hours. Then we say we are either too tired or too busy to go to church, or if we do go to church we are to tired to press into the service, or our mind is on what’s going on at home or on our job. In Mark 4:19 it says that the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches and the lusts of other things choke out the word of God. The little foxes spoil the vine. Satan does not come in all at once. He sneaks in slowly where we won't have time for Jesus, we won't have time to study and pray, we're to busy to go to do the Lords work. Spoil means to corrupt or destroy.... this is satans job and he does it well. We must remember satan is as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.

“Spiritual Laziness”

We read in the book of Mark 16:15-18 the following passages of scripture: 16:15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16:16 - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 16:17 - And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 16:18 - They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This great Word above is meant for each and every Born-Again Believer yesterday, today and until Jesus returns. We are not to just lay around and let other folks do the work for us. I truly believe there's a "Spiritual Laziness" that has been injected into the Body of Christ in this hour. Jesus said, we are to preach the gospel to every living crea-ture (friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, etc...) and that these signs would follow: we would lay hands on the sick and they would recover, cast out devils, speak with new tongues and so on… The Believer should on a daily basis get out and try and reach as many souls for God as they possibly can. You have the same power as Jesus did when he was on this earth. Why don't we use what he's given to us through the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in Luke 14:23 - And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. I truly believe that we are to take the message to the streets and as the Word above states, "Compel Them In" not just sit on the pew and hope the Preacher does all the work. There are a many of folks today lost and going to Hell, people in bondage to alcohol, sexual addictions, anger, hatred, unfor-giveness and so forth because of no one ministering the Word of Life to them which is due to Spiritual Laziness on the Believer's part. "The Christian's Duty is to lead the lost and hurting to the Cross where Jesus is waiting to set them FREE!"

"The Absolute Truth" Pastor Wayne Clabaugh I

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be

revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he

as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2 Thessalonians 2:3.4 (KJV)

A few years back when Hal Lindsey wrote a book entitled "Satan Is Alive And Well On Planet Earth". Did he call that one right or not? It is obvious, that the devil has his minions working hard to do away with Jesus and every re-membrance or association with Him. You’ve felt it; people are cold and hard anymore. Service in business is a by-gone word. We can see an interesting parallel being drawn between the church in 33-70 A.D., and today. The church has never been in more "pain to be delivered" then she is today (read Revelation 12:1, 2). I want to repeat that to give you the opportunity to say, “Amen”. The Church has never been in more pain to be delivered than she is today. I'm not just speaking of ordinary persecution of the church, I'm speaking of the hundreds who are yet "babes in Christ" being ripped from the womb of their faith by the "so-called" Christian Leaders of the day who Name the Name of Christ - yet act like the world. The greatest need for the church today is to have leaders that spend their time on their knees instead down at the tanning salon or the hair dresser. They have made their decision what god they're going to serve, and I'm afraid it's green. What's worse, they dare not preach on Hell or Sin, because someone's bound to get upset and green is green, but when there's less and less of it because someone got upset, producers and church boards begin to take notice. That’s what I'm talking about here today. This was prophesied in the scriptures in the 4th verse of Revelation Chapter 12 where it says, “...and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered,

for to devour her child as soon as it was born." That’s the goal of the new-age preachers. They are “commissioned” to grab the so-called "baby busters", those in their 20s and 30's and "get them in" - not to the fold where they can hear the story of Jesus, and be challenged to turn from their wicked ways, being washed in the blood of the Lamb. No, these NEW “pew packers” follow an agenda to “get them in” and “get them hooked” on a deranged gospel of getting wealth and CALLING IT FAITH. The NEW AGE preacher of today is selected for his powers of persuasion; sales ability; and of course . . . “looks”. He doesn't need to know anything about the WORD - and many of them don't! All they need to know is how to read a teleprompter and act like what they're saying is the "ABSOLUTE TRUTH". COME ON! They color and curl their hair, they manicure and paint their nails; they wear $3000 Armani suits; $500 Alligator shoes; live in "secluded" homes with unlisted telephones; and drive cars that would run most households for a year . . . yet, they're trying to convince us that they KNOW the "ABSOLUTE TRUTH"? If they did, their days would be spent saddling a Bible, and their eyes would be red from the tears they've cried over this nation and the con-dition of their very own people as they struggle to just barely get by. They wouldn't SELL Tapes and CDS and Book-lets of their messages - they'd do everything possible to get them into the hands of people FREE OF CHARGE! They wouldn't take offerings to build new facilities when there are people who are living in cardboard boxes. Oh, I know there’s someone out there thinking, "But Brother Wayne, it cost money to run a ministry”. Listen, no one knows the hardship of keeping a ministry going better than a man of God. A true man of God will NEVER have enough and will BEVER be able to reach the people who need to hear the real truth because too many people are buying the books and tapes of the LIARS who are saying that God's WORD wants you to be WEALTHY. Well, then help God out and give the books away and stop asking for a hundred dollars every week. Hard on preachers? I'm tired of being called a PREACHER because that name has been stained by the GREEN BONEY FINGERS of that godless bunch that “...oppose the real truth of the Word and exalt themselves above all that is called God, or that is the truth about God,

and they sit in the Temples of their own making, Temples they call God's yet they speak and act as if they themselves

are Him." Where have you hear that before? Look at the text! “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who op-

poseth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple

of God, shewing himself that he is God." 2Th 2:3.4 (KJV) Friend, it’s time to stop WINKING AT THE GREATEST

SHOW ON EARTH and start TELLING THE GREATEST STORY ON EARTH! It's time to get past our GREED FOR GREEN and become converted by the RED BLOOD OF JESUS. It's time for REVIVAL!

CHILDREN, RAIN IS COMING

I remember as a child, growing up in the mountains of Kentucky, we would be planting and working in our large gardens when the clouds would cover the sun and the wind would begin to blow. Daddy would look at the storm clouds gathering and then call to us children, "Children, rain is coming. I can smell the rain in the wind." We would all head to the house until the storm was over. There are storms around us everywhere. I see whirlwinds of decep-tion blowing all around us. I praise God for His Holy Word, for "His truth endureth to all generations" (Psalm 100:5). Child of God, don't let the enemy discourage you. The Lord said to me, in a great trial I was going through, "When you look down, my child, your enemy will seek to break you. From the dawn of each morning keep my name before you and utter praises unto me. I watch you with eyes that never look away." Oh, thank you, Lord! Lord Jesus, send the wind and the Holy Ghost rain upon your church. Child of God, don't say "I'm too young, or I'm too old." Don't consider age or circumstances; live for the Lord with all your heart. Work while it is yet day - age doesn't matter now for we are all nearing eternity. JESUS IS COMING!

Until next time, the Lord bless you, His Handmaiden, Sister Betty Jean Robinson

I recently made a statement to our congregation that I really hadn't put much thought into, it just came out. What I said was this, “Jesus compared our light to a candle not a blow torch...it is possible to share your light with someone without burning their eyebrows off”! So many times we go out in ZEAL with an attitude of “Glory to God I am gonna tell these people they are gonna split hell wide open if they don't fall on their knees!” And as so often is the case...that type of “sharing the gospel” does more harm than good. Jesus said to let our light shine before men...that they may see our good works...the truth is our actions speak louder than words. We would be sur-prised the kind of impact we could have by just doing a good deed or sharing a smile or a kind word with the people who cross our path. Someone shared something in a service that I was in once that I have never forgot-ten. This person said that they were in Wal-Mart and they had really been going through a battle and were really down when they saw my wife and I and of coursed we stopped for a moment to say hello and I smiled at her. She said that when I did that...something just lifted and she felt so much better. I was not aware that I had done anything and of course it had nothing to do with me and ALL to do with God. Since that time the LORD has taught me that this is one of the ways we can let our light shine. So go ahead...share a smile, kind word or deed with those who come your way. You might be surprised at the doors that would open for you to share the mes-sage of Jesus with others. When is the last time someone asked you…”Why are you so happy or kind or car-ing?” What a perfect opportunity that would be to share with them the reason….JESUS!

YOU TOOK MY PLACE

How dare you I thought within my self, As I looked at you and anger felt.

You've got lots of nerve and boldness too, I can hardly stand the site of you.

The more I ponder what you've done, The more I feel like the mistreated one. You've came in here and took my place,

And done all this with smiling face. When I first arrived I felt such joy, But because of you I am so annoyed.

No peace can I find no love to share, As I look at you and frown and stare.

Why did you even have to come, These words within me I repeat.

You see I am at my home church… And you are in my seat!
