VOF with churches in Nepal responding the abortion issue

Raising voice for the voiceless

Volume: 53

Voice of Fetus, Nepal

Dear friend and families,

Because God’s perspective regarding the preborn– that they are precious, valuable, and human– is not held worldwide, the lives of millions of children are ended before they have had a chance to experience God’s plans for their time on earth. Furthermore, the lives of millions of women and men– as well as all of those in relationship with them– are impacted negatively by these abortions.

As followers of Christ, we are required to act for many reasons.

1. God calls us to be defenders of the defenceless (Prov. 31:8-9)

2. God tells us that faith without works is dead (James 2:14-17)

3. God gives us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

4. If we have the ability to save a life, we have the responsibility to save a life (Gen. 9:5-6)

Pro-life seminars in different women leadership training centre.

On 21st August, 2014 VOF was provided an opportunity to conduct a class among 19 women leaders from different parts of Eastern Nepal in Eastern Leadership Training Centre (ELTC) at Itahari. All the par-ticipants were given the teaching on the sanctity of human life, types of elective abortion and its complications. At the end of class, they were provided a time to share their comments. Both repentance and recov-ery were heard in the comments. Eventually, they were encouraged

and distributed LIFE BAG for the use of their ministry in community.

On 29th August, 2014 VOF had a chance to take a class regarding the Biblical per-spective on abortion. As usual Soman Rai (Elisha) educated 17 women leaders from different parts of Central and western part of Nepal. All the participants received the teaching with great excitement and seriousness. Some of them, realized the weakness happened in their past life. And finally, they were handed over the LIFE BAG contain-ing Pro-life DVD, leader’s guide and brochures produced by Gabriel International (GI) and also challenged them to use the given materials in their locality. We appreci-

ate LTD of NCFN for providing us the platform to perform the LIFE-GIVING act.

On 22nd August, 2014 VOF grabbed another golden

opportunity to present the life-giving teaching through

the VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS curriculum among the

26 women representative from different churches in

Kathmandu. The class was conducted under the women

leadership training of Family Ministry in Nehemiah Insti-

tute. All the participants took the teaching with the

tears in their eyes and some of them repented as well.

At last, they were prayed for their inner-healing.

Special thanks-giving and prayer points:

● Lets thank God for His direct help and grace in each and every

work we did in last two months.

● Please pray for all the participants who attended our seminar

church and community.

● Please pray for us as we are planning and budgeting for new

fiscal year. May God grant us His wisdom and guidance for

better performance. And pray for our GA as well

● Please pray for a regular support to our organization so that

we can appoint new staff to create more effectiveness in ongo-

Chose Parenting!

Few months before, we received a girl in crisis pregnancy. She was expelled by her parents, un-cared by her church, So we requested to Compas-sion home to provided a place for living so that she can continue the pregnancy. Finally, on 7th August, 2014 she gave birth to cute baby girl and she decided to raise her baby by herself. Please

pray for the girl and her baby.

Chose Adoption!

Few months ago, we got a news about an

unwed lady in crisis pregnancy. With the help

of YWCA she continued her pregnancy. And

on 9th July, 2014 she gave birth to a cute baby

girl and chose to give the baby for adoption.

So, with the active help of VOF a Christian

couple welcomed the baby in their family. The

couple have been suffering from infertility for

long time. Now, they are fine.
