Program objectives: To link young professionals with leadership potential, with established women leaders to empower them through real life experience, expand their network of contacts, and strengthen the role of women in society by sharing their work and their stories.

Vital Voices Argentina organized a gathering on Monday, September 7th at Casa Natura with several leading women from political and social spheres who had participated in the Summit
Conference for Women in Democracy Latin America and the Caribbean, organized by Vital Voices Global Partnership in 1998.
The meeting aimed to revitalize this remarkable women's network and to add their valuable contributions to ongoing initiatives. Their recommendations will be put in place shortly.

Vital Voices ArgentinaVital Voices Argentina was pleased to convene women from the political and social spheres on Monday, September 7th at Casa Natura. Ten years ago by virtue of their career and achievements, they had all participated in the Summit Conference for Women in Democracy Latin America and the Caribbean. This year, the reunion aimed to revitalize this remarkable women's network and to add their valuable contributions to the initiatives discussed, which will be promptly implemented.
The presentation of the Vital Voices Argentina project, conducted by Maria Gabriela Hoch, highlighted the objective of training 1000 women in Argentina in the next three years. She was accompanied by Clarisa Eseiza, Laura Busnelli and
Vanina Urbino, all alumni of the Fortune Program.

Durrieu, Secretary of Women Legislators Circle of Argentina; Liliana Gurdulich de Correa, Vice President of the Circle of Legislators of Argentina; Ana Kessler, a former Congresswoman National PJ; Rita Lassus, Director of Foreign Trade of Santa Fe; Noemí Aumedes, Consensus Coordinator Discrimination between men and women in Buenos Aires- INADI; Teresa Gonzalez Fernandez, Board Member TCA; and Monica Crudo, Federal Criminal Judge present.
Among the leaders of social organizations we had Rosa Roisinblit, Vice President of the Association of Grandmothers of Plaza de Mayo; Silvia Rueda de Uranga, Executive Director of Fundación Pescar; Graciela Adam, President of Global Foundation; and Sonia Salvatierra from Salvatierra Study present.

Vital Voices Argentina participated in "First Meeting with Maria Cher: Inspiring Women", held on Tuesday, September 8th at the Puerto Madero Yacht Club. At the meeting they discussed the topic of the genuine and real woman behind the professional challenges.
Some of the speakers were Maria Cher, clothing designer and member of the World Network of Vital Voices Global Partnership; Narda Lepes, chef and host, Florencia Peña, actress; Jorgelina Racciatti, Dove Director, Florencia Braga Menéndez, curator, theoretical and gallery owner, and Isabel Vásquez, creator of "Network of Mothers Against Paco" moderated by Felicitas Rossi, Editorial Director of Oh!Lalá magazine.

Vital Voices Argentina established a strategic partnership with Apertura Magazine, the most prestigious business magazine in Argentina, to prepare a ranking of “The 50 Top Women in Business in Argentina“. This project was issued as an initiative of the magazine in conjunction with Vital Voices Argentina and included two kinds of rankings: one for
executive women and another about womenentrepreneurs. The leaders ranked in turn, will be called to be mentors in the program to be held in 2010.
The ranking was published on November 2009.

The Chamber of Commerce of the United States in the Republic Argentina – AmCham- is a non-governmental organization, independent, nonprofit, with 90 years of work devoted to promote the bilateral trade and investments between United States and Argentina. This institutuion centralizes more than 780 U.S., Argentinian and other countries companies, which employ 320,000 Argentines

Each mentor and mentee will have three weekly meetings on October 8th, 15th and 22nd. They will participate in training and networking activities. The program begins on September 29th with an Opening Breakfast with mentors and trainees at the American
Club. We have 15 mentors and 14 mentees.

Launch Cocktail Reception- US Embassy November 19th
The cocktail was attended by international authorities of Vital Voices Global Partnership, Alyse Nelson-President, and Eugenia Podesta-Program Coordinator for Latin America and 300 hundred argentinian women leaders. "The embassy is committed to supporting institutions that promote the empowerment of women in politics as in business or civil society," said Ambassador Vilma Martinez.

400 women attended to "Women Leaders: Vital Voices for growth," a meeting to discuss women leadership, held at the Golden Hall of the Casa de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. The panels combined academic and philosophical discussion with real leadership experience.
