Field Office provides a convenient area for storage of officesupplies. Mounts in an easy to access location at the left rearside of the cab:

Rear Pull Down Sun Shade

A pull-down shade for the rear windshield improves opera-tor visibility on sunny days by blocking direct light andreducing glare.

Accessories Mounting Bracket

The accessories mounting bracket assists the installation ofmonitors, phones, radios and other accessories in single con-venient location. The bracket bolts into existing holes on the7030 Series tractors.

Utility Tray and Beverage Holder

The utility tray contains an additional beverage holder and astorage platform in which to place papers and other materi-als.

Insulated Cool Box

The Insulated Cool Box aids operator comfort by keepingfood and drinks cool and stored securely. The box can bequickly removed for cleaning or movement betweenmachines. Includes fastening straps and mounting hardware.

Refrigerated Cool Box

The 12-volt Refrigerated Cool Box will keep food anddrinks chilled through hot working conditions. The box iscapable of maintaining a 30°C difference to ambient tem-peratures and its 6-litre capacity will take standard 0.75 lbottles.

Powerstrip Adapters

Powerstrip adapters allow electrical connection for monitorsand equipment not fitting the tractor’s standard Powerstripor 3-pin outlets. Available adapters include:

• European-style round 3-pin adapter (replicates 3-pinoutlet found on Command Console, pictured above).

• Cigarette lighter-style outlet• 1m cable for custom hard-wiring to components• North American-style flat 3-pin adapter

Powerstrip adapters can also be used with the Field Office.

Antenna Mount and Wiring for Business Band (Two-way) Radio

Provides the wiring, an external antenna mount and a radiomount for business band (two-way) radios.

Electric Mirrors Conversion Kit

The Electric Mirrors Conversion Kit can be used to providein-cab control where right and left-hand manually-adjusta-ble mirrors were originally supplied:

• Can contribute to improved safety during road transportoperations

• Improved convenience when frequently adjusting themirrors, e.g. to monitor implements, reversing trailers,etc.

Two Roof-Mounted Side Flood Lights

For improved vision to the side of the tractor (highlighted),the 7030 Series Tractors can be equipped with two 65Wfloodlights, one on each side of the cab.

The two roof-mounted halogen side floodlights are alsoincluded in the factory installed Field Vision Xenon HIDFront Lighting Package.

Front Hitch / Loader Lighting

Front Hitch / Loader Lighting package provides alternativeroad lighting when front-mounted applications obscure thetractor’s primary (grill-mounted) road lights:

• Lights are mounted on the cabin’s front A posts- Allow for improved night vision and safety when

working and transporting with front-mountedequipment or loaders.

Primary road lights should be used whenever possible:• Alternative lights to be used only when the front hitch

or loader block the tractor’s primary road lights• Priority switch within the cabin selects between

primary / alternative road lighting use• Primary and alternative road lights cannot be used

simultaneously.

Rotary Beacon Light

Rotary beacon lights are available to provide additional visi-bility of the tractor during road transport and to meet com-mercial or governmental applications.

• Rotating, high-intensity light mounts on the front leftcorner of the cab and can be inverted when not requiredto prevent damage.- Both light and lens are easily replaceable if damaged.

• Fully adjustable, double-clamp mounting provides rigidvertical support.

• On / Off switch is located within easy reach of theoperator.

Extremity Lighting

Extremity Lighting offers additional road safety when trans-porting tractors where large rear tyres, the extra-width rearfenders, or wide tread widths means the tractor exceeds atotal 2.55 metre width. The lights include:

• Integrated turn signal (amber).• Continuous extremity warning lights front (white) and

rear (red):- Continuous red lens brightens when brakes are

applied.• Foldable arms:

- Arms tuck inside the fenders when not in use forprotection from damage

- Unfolded, the lighting kit offers a total vehiclecoverage of 2.95 metres edge-to-edge.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

Dual Beam Radar Sensor

The Dual Beam Ground Speed Radar Sensor activates func-tions contained within the CommandCenter and cornerpostdisplays by allowing the tractor to reliably calculate theactual ground travel speed independent of wheel speed. Theradar needs to be installed in order to utilise the hitch slipcommand or to calculate actual wheel slip.

Additionally, the radar improves the accuracy of the follow-ing CommandCenter readouts:

• Area covered• Area / hour • Distance and ground speed

The new Dual Beam sensor offers several advancementsover previous designs:

• Dual-beam design ensures signal strength to minimisesinterference caused by hard surfaces or tall grass

• Heavy-gauge mounting bracket and rubber isolatorsminimise vibration

• Fast update rate closely matches the actual groundspeed. Important where the radar speed input is used tocontrol spayers, balers, etc.

• Self-calibrating function to minimise setup time.

9-Pin Implement Feedback Connector for TouchSet Depth Control

The 9-pin implement feedback connector required forTouchSet depth control of implements is available as a field-installed attachment on tractors with EH-SCV’s. The con-nector and wiring harness enables a position input to be pro-vided to the tractor’s Electronic Selective Control Valve(SCV) control unit enabling TouchSet depth control func-tionality through the first SCV.

The feature allows the operator to adjust height and depth ofremote lift cylinders by using the TouchSet controls in thecab.

Implement Switch

Mounts on the implement and monitors when the implementis raised or lowered. When used in conjunction with theRadar Sensor and Performance Monitor gives 100% accu-rate hectare coverage.

AG MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS

Parallel Tracking

GreenStar Parallel Tracking provides a unique, modularsolution for straight and curved-line tractor guidance, elimi-nating overlap and skipping. The operator can easily keeptrack of straight-line progress by occasionally glancing atthe GreenStar Display or by listening to audible tones.GreenStar Parallel Tracking system thereby allows for:

• Reduced overlap and skipping• Successful night-time operation• Operation through adverse weather conditions

Parallel Tracking kits are available from AMS Europe usingJDmint. Dealers are then free to sourcethe remaining GreenStar Common Components (inclusiveTerrain Compensation Module) and a subscription to theStarFire SF1 or SF2 differential correction signal required toform a fully functional AutoTrac system by using existingcustomer-owned items or by sourcing from AMS Europeand StellarSupport respectively.

Field Doc

GreenStar Field Doc offers a simple way to record informa-tion on operations including tillage, seeding, spraying, ferti-lising and in applying manual or automatically variableinput rates required for modern farm documentation prac-tices. In addition, customers can also draw upon a simpleand highly accurate boundary measurement tool incorpo-rated into the Field Doc system.

Collected data is readily transferable to a home PC runningJDOffice or other approved desktop software to provide val-uable farm management information. Field Doc assists cus-tomers by:

• Optimising production.• Reducing administrative paperwork for effective farm

management.

JDLink

The innovative GreenStar JDLink system from AMS allowscustomers to optimise the true performance capabilities oftheir 7030 by collecting machine data for management pur-poses. Using mobile phone technology, JDLink continu-ously transmits signals from the tractor’s CAN Bus systemto a central John Deere server where the information canthen be made available to users via a JDLink website orthrough email, fax or SMS messaging.

JDLink field kits containing the Communications Controllerand Cab Hardware are available from AMS Europe throughJDmint.

ENGINE

Engine Block (Coolant) Heater

A 220 V engine block coolant heater is available to providequick, positive engine starting in cold conditions.

• Required where tractors are expected to be started attemperatures below -18 degree C (0 degree F).

Severe Duty Water Separator

The Severe Duty Fuel / Water Separator is available forlocations where seasonal fuel quality can affect engine per-formance. If the fuel contains more water than the base fil-tering equipment can handle on a continual basis, the SevereDuty Separator will decrease service intervals and protectthe tractor fuel system from damage.

• Fuel quality specifications are detailed by Section 85 ofthe Operator’s Manual.

TRANSMISSION AND PTO

Field Cruise for PowrQuad Plus

Where desired, PowrQuad Plus tractors can be equippedwith the Field Cruise feature as a field-installed attachmentvia a software download. Field Cruise simplifies planting,spraying and other light load tasks by allowing the operatorto set an upper engine rpm limit between 1100 and 2150 rpmto attain a desired ground travel speed (interpreted as wheelspeed). Constant ground speed is maintained in light loadconditions, even as loads on the tractor vary.

• Valuable feature for operations where application rates are dependent upon controlled ground speed (spraying, fertiliser spreading, seed drilling, etc.).

• Limiting engine speed in light load situations can contribute to optimise fuel economy.

Back-up Alarm

A Back-up Alarm is available to accommodate governmen-tal or industrial sales of the 7030-Series Tractors notequipped with pneumatic air brakes. The alarm soundswhenever the transmission is placed in reverse.

Rear PTO Shaft Adapter (44.5mm to 34.9mm)

The conversion kit for 7830 and 7930 tractors that wereoriginally equipped with the 44.5mm (1-3/4 In.) 20-splinePTO shaft only (Code 2417) replaces the existing shaft toprovide compatibility with 34.9 mm 540 rpm (6-spline) and1000 rpm (21-spline) implements. PTO rpm speeds can beutilised independently of the shaft type.

• 44.5mm shaft is capable of the tractor’s full PTO power• Use of the 34.9mm shaft is governed by the power

requirement of the implement:- 21-spline end is intended for implements requiring

less than 150 PTO hp- 6-spline end is intended for implements requiring

less than 75 PTO hp

CHASSIS AND BRAKES

Air Brakes - Single Line

Optional Air Brake Systems provide safe and modulatedbraking of trailers and implements equipped with pneumaticbrakes. Single line brakes (A) can be field installed onto atractor equipped with the ex-factory dual circuit (B) system.The Air Brakes can also be installed in combination withhydraulic trailer brakes.

• Please refer to the section Hydraulic Trailer Brakes following for further specific details.

The high-capacity Air Brake compressor ensures quickbuild-up of reserve air pressure in response to brakingdemand.

• A large volume Air Brake Reservoir is located adjacent to the external muffler. A low-pressure warning is indicated within the CommandCenter.

Hydraulic Trailer Brake Kit

Hydraulic trailer brakes allow modulated braking of trailersequipped with hydraulic brake systems for safer and morecontrolled braking. The system utilises a delay valves thatactuates the trailer brakes immediately prior to tractor brak-ing:

• Connects directly to tractors hydraulic system.• Does not require a separate oil reservoir.

WHEELS, FENDERS AND BALLAST

Pick up Weight - 900 kg

The 900kg Big Pack 'Monster' weight provides customerswith convenient ballasting to optimise tractor performance.The weight can be quickly mounted onto the front weightsupport and, when equipped with an additional centrelinkbracket, also fits Cat. II / III front or rear 3-point hitches.

Pick up Weight - 1150 kg

For additional front ballasting, the 1150kg “Monster”weight can be quickly and simply added. The 1150kgweight can be fitted directly to the base weight and whenequipped with an additional centrelink bracket also fits Cat.II / III front or rear 3-point hitches.

Front Weight Mounting Kits

Attachment hardware for installing front weights can beordered as follows. Two retainers, two washers and two cap-screws (as appropriate) are required.

Trailer Coupling Front Weight SetThe attachment kit includes 2 special coupling weightsweighing 50 kg each that can be used within a front weightpackage to create a trailer coupling. The total kit weighs 100kg.

Rear Wheel Weights

Rear wheel weights are available for optimum ballastingand can be mounted on either of the inner or outer sides ofthe steel or heavy-duty cast rear wheels as desired. Weightcarrying capacities of the tyres must always be observed.

When mounting cast weights on the outside of the wheel, a75 kg weight should first be mounted. Up to three, 205 kgweights can then be added per side. The first 75 kg weight isrequired to allow clearance to the gear for the rack and pin-ion when changing tread settings. Mounting the 205 kgweights directly to the rear wheel otherwise requires remov-ing the weights when adjusting tread width.

Rims for Steel Wheel With Cast Hub

Customers utilising the Substitutable Rear Shipping Wheelsoption can source required Steel Wheels to mount on casthub supplied with the tractor.

• Allows for custom fitment of rear tyres• One-piece steel disc / rim design provides lighter

overall weight• Well suited for weight-conscious transport, seedbed or

mowing applications.

Note: Tyre load carrying capacities must be observed.

Joystick to Control Rear EH-SCV’s

The Single-Lever Control (Joystick) Kit allows operation ofthe 3rd and 4th rear control valves via a joystick on thosetractors equipped with rear four EH-SCV’s.

• Provides additional control to raise / lower implements,trailers or any other hydraulically powered implements.

The joystick connects to the CommandArm and can be ena-ble/disabled through the CommandCenter. When the SingleLever Control (Joystick) is enabled via the Command-Center, the 3rd and 4th SCV paddle pot controls on theCommandArm or right-hand console will be disabled.

Mid-Mount Electro-Hydraulic Valve Equipment

To facilitate the field addition of auxiliary front hitch equip-ment or front loaders, Mid-mount EH-SCV kits are availa-ble for all 7030-Series Tractors. Either two or three valvescan be equipped - the first two mid-mount SCV's offer pro-portional control while the third mid-mount SCV representsan on-off valve.

• The proportional Mid-Mount EH valves on tractorswith mechanical rear SCV’s do not have adjustable maxflow settings, and offers detented float control on one ofthe EH valves only.

• The proportional Mid-Mount EH valves on tractorswith EH rear SCV’s have adjustable max flow settingson two of the mid-mount valves and offers detentedfloat control on one of the EH valves only.

The mid-mount EH valves are controlled by an Electro-Hydraulic joystick located either on the side of the console(PowrQuad / AutoQuad) or the end of the CommandArm(AutoPowr only).

Power Beyond

Many implements including manure spreaders, forage wag-ons, seeders and sprayers requiring hydraulic power areequipped with their own pressure and flow compensatinghydraulic valves to independently control oil flow. For theseapplications, the Power Beyond System can be equipped toprovide live hydraulic power independent of the tractor’sown SCV performance, ensuring adequate, controlledpower supply to the implement and optimising tractor per-formance when the supply is no longer needed.

The attachment kits include couplers, connecting hoses, dustcovers and installation hardware & instructions.

Hydraulic Motor Return

Hydraulic motor return kits allow the return of used hydrau-lic oil directly into the tractor’s sump, bypassing the remotecoupler and SCV. The kits are then ideal for use with imple-ments where minimal back pressure is desired, i.e. thoseequipped with hydraulic motors or where hitch valves withlift assist wheels are installed.

Two kit versions are available with either with single or dualreturn lines. The dual return line version includes a casedrain.

Implement Single-Lever Lift ControlThe Implement Single-Lever Control Lift Assist Kit allowsoperation of a hitch mounted implement and its lift assistwheels at the same time using the SCV control lever.

The kit connects the rear hitch cylinder to the 9-Pin Imple-ment Feedback Connector to disable the hitch from its con-trols and allow operation of the hitch with the SCV.

High Oil Take-Out Reservoir

At the full mark, 7030-Series tractors provide 50l of take-out hydraulic oil for auxiliary functions (tipping trailers,implements with large hydraulic cylinders, etc). For equip-ment demanding more oil, the transmission / hydraulic sys-tem can be overfilled with up to an additional 15l of oil,providing a total 65l oil takeout capacity.

Overfilled transmission oil however will ordinarily result inexcessive internal friction, higher fuel consumption and heatbuildup as gears are expected to run in deep oil. To cater forhigh oil take-out capacity while preserving fuel efficiency,the Hydraulic Oil Reservoir can automatically pump over-filled oil out of the transmission casing at transport speeds,holding the oil in the 15l reservoir instead:

• Preservation of transmission efficiency for highest fuelefficiency in transport

Once the tractor slows down, the overfilled oil returns to thetransmission casing for take-out:

• Total 65l oil take out capacity for tipping large trailers.

Pickup Hitch

The Pickup Hitch with Drawbar allows for fast one-manhitching of twin axle trailers or trailed implements requiringclose-coupled hitch points:

The hitch includes both a Cat 2 drawbar and hook.

Drawbar Equipment

Available Category 2 Drawbar kit can be supplied for trac-tors that were ordered without the original drawbar. Asopposed to the factory-installed Cat 2 Drawbar, the field-installed kit features a Quick-Drop Pin for simplified imple-ment hook-up.

The Cat 3 drawbar (shown) can be installed to extend capa-bilities over the ex-factory Cat 2 version. Key specificationsare as so:

Hydraulic Centre Link

Available Hydraulic Center Link for the 7030 allows theoperator to adjust the length of the top link and thereforehitch geometry from the comfort of his seat. Control of thehydraulic center link can be performed through any of thetractor’s rear selective control valves:

• Levelling of fully-mounted equipment can beperformed on-the-go (ploughs, mounted rippers) tooptimise implement performance

• Attaching implements is greatly assisted through beingable to vary the length of the top link while there isweight on the hitch. A quick-lock storage bracket andhook-type end with cable also contribute to makeimplement attachment easier and safer.

STORAGE

Storage Container - 45 l

The 45 l Tool Storage Container can be mounted to either ofthe tractor’s base weight, its Quick Tatch weights (requiresTrailer Coupling Set) or the 900 kg Pick up Weight for con-venient storage of tools and implement equipment.

The volumous sheet metal storage container can carry up to45kg of gear and includes side handles for easy movementbetween machines. A quick lock pin secures the containerlid.

VANDALISM PROTECTION

Door Lock Kit

Door lock kit provides individually keyed cabin door locksas a deterrent to vandalism and theft. The kit also aids in sat-isfying insurance policies where commonly keyed vehiclescannot be guaranteed cover against damage or theft.

Kit contains two handles with lock cylinders, four keysand installation instructions. Further spare keys can becut from the blank.

Battery Disconnect Switch

Externally-mounted battery disconnect kit can be used bothto immobilise the tractor and prevent unintended use as wellas in avoiding battery draining from running monitors orradios.
