My name is Joanna Diaz.
Hello!
It all started summer of 2001
In one of these.
With a lot of these…
Working in Admissions and Financial Aid full time during summers, and part time during semesters.
At the same university I attended
Until relocating here in 2005
To study here
While working part time here
Until graduating with a BA in Psychology in 2007.
“No more pencils, no more books...”
So I took some time away from a normal day job to dabble in various fields of interest.
I tried out marketing as a promo model working my
way up to Lead
Attended workshops to make people beautiful and occasionally worked with photographers as their makeup artist
And volunteered at the local Humane Society
I love my new mom. Adopted me though I’m
deaf.
Time to work!
Until recession hit and jobs were cut
With superhero speed, I painted the town red leaving behind my resume at every location
possible.
Persistence paid off!
I worked here in administration though I also on occasion handled
reception, patient scheduling, and assisted the Finance department
with claims.
While still promoting Diageo brands on the side (The gig did not
require me to shave the bushy mustache)
And even continuing my education with a certification in
Photography
I’m a busy, little ant…
When not working, I love to:
Read
Compete in 5k+ mud run obstacle
courses
My stories and experiences have
motivated friends, coworkers, and now
even gym acquaintances into
joining in on these runs.
Hit the gym!Working out is now
my lifestyle.
Support our soldiers by volunteering and/or attending events organized by a local
Wounded Warrior Project chapter
And a few other volunteer opportunities I have participated in…
I even volunteered at the local horror movie convention, Scream Fest. I was in charge of
managing the chaos surrounding the Boondock Saints.
Why do these horror guys keep
choking me?
My strengths are:
I love to be busy! Because of this, I have mastered the art of multi-tasking.
I am not a boring presenter
I believe in teamwork
But I can also perform individually
I am always seeking new challenges
And a new opportunity in NY. I am ready to start immediately.

By studying this chart, you can gather that I have a wide range of skill sets in addition to what I have used for employment. The skills listed have barely been used in a work environment. These are skills which I acquired by doing volunteer work, freelance jobs, and even while completing my Bachelor’s Degree. By providing me with an opportunity to utilize these, I will have not only the potential to grow as an individual and succeed, but also to surpass your expectations. Allow me to prove to you that not only will I get the job done, I will get it done right!
