Sea &Water Imagery
Sun rays under sea water- inspiration for lighting and also Ariel
16th Century ship- Inspiration for colour and lighting of set
Bermuda’s famous shipwrecks- this shipwreck left the people aboard stranded and they became the first settlers of Bermuda. Links to the idea of arriving in a new place, like in ‘The Tempest’. Also inspiration for colour and lighting of set.
The Bermuda Triangle- The island could be a strange force such as the Bermuda triangle, that Alonso and his men get drawn In and trapped by.

The Spanish Armada
Francis Drake16th century explorer. I like the colour scheme and style of this image and think this could inspire the set, costume and feel of the production.
The World illustration found in a Shakespeare book
Royal De Luxe theatre company, LiverpoolTitanic themed event links to the journey Alonso and his men take to the island. I like the imagery of the worn boat and I also like the scale of the characters.

I Like the costumes used worn by the puppeteers and I think they link to my version of the tempest as the look like 16th century explorers/pirates and so I imagine Alonso and his men to be dressed similarly.
