Višnjica is situated in the Virovitičko-Podravska county, situated in the continental part of Croatia at the borderline between the Central and Eastern part of Croatia.

The Podravina lowlands in the north stand out in sharp relief to the hills and mountains of Bilogora, Papuk and Krndija in the south.

Apart from being a boundary between Slavonija and Podravina, this county is a meeting point of the lowlands and the highlands.

Situated only 13 km from Slatina, 25 km from Virovitica, 40 km from Terezino Polje (border crossing to Hungary), 100 km from Osijek and 170 km from Zagreb, capital of Croatia.

In its vicinity, in Novaki, there's a runway for small aircrafts.

Višnjica location

Višnjica was mentioned for the first time in the middle of the 19th century as a large-scale farm. After only one century it became one of the most developed estates in western part of Slavonia.

In the time of its economical and demographical uprise its owners were German duke Schaumburg-Lippe and later on count Ivan Drašković.

Today, there are no permanent inhabitants, but we want to create various types of tourism and a functional agricultural production, ecological oriented.

The location is divided in two parts which integrates this unique resort in the heart of nature.

Main site consists of 3 star hotel, the stud farm with luxury club house, high end stables, support facilities, and greenhouses with sweet potato production as well other cultures growing facilities.

Other part of the site is situated 10 kilometers away in the direction of the Drava River, as the fallow deer and mouflon breeding ground with stables and support facilities.

Stud farm

On October 22, 2005 the Višnjica Stud Farm became associated member of the World Arabian Horse Organization (WHAO)

The Stud Farm takes care of 60 Arabian horses, specifically, quarter and paint horse breed.

It has won a large number of awards at international and horse fairs.

Club house and stables

Luxury clubhouse building consists of modern guesthouse with modern stables and is near the stud farm.

Club house consists of 4 apartements and living areas with fine club house caffe.

Widen area which is in development will add true aspects of traditional tourism.

Wilderness park

Wilderness Park covers 25,000 m2 in its area and is a breeding place for 400 head of fallow deer and mouflons.

It is important to mention the enormous potential for the development of safari tourism as a result of proximity to the Drava River and unique surrounding.

Hotel “Višnjica” is located in the heart of the main site, surrounded by ancient naturaly preserved park and site complexes.

Hotel is declared as a 3 star category hotel with possible development to 4 star.

Hotel have single rooms, double rooms and suites. 4 rooms are standardized for disabled persons.

In hotel complex there are also two congress rooms capacity for 20 and 60 persons, fully technicaly equiped for seminars, congresses, and other type of business sessions.

Restaurant have capacity of 150 places and is ideal for any kind of arrangement, like weedings or parties.

Restaurant offer authentic Slavonian and other type ot traditional Croatian gastronomy in accordance with in house specialties from its own resources.

Technical data

The complete Višnjica location consists of two estates:

- 1st estate or main site covers 220,000 m2 of land in the ownership of the stud farm and 60,000 m2 of land on lease and can be found on the regional plan map as T-3.

- This zone adjoins the R-9 zone which covers 340,000 m2 and can be extended.The R-9 zone is in the ownership of the Republic of Croatia

- 2nd estate is situated 10 kilometers away in the direction of the Drava River and covers 25,000 m2 of land in the ownership and 20,000 m2 on lease. The estate consists of the fallow deer and mouflon breeding ground as well as stables and support facilities.

In developmentGrand horse and bycycle route

The horse and bicycle trail under construction will contain three sections amounting to 65 kilometers in total.

The largest part of the trail will pass along the Drava River embankment in the Sopje District, which will make it part of the network of bicycle and horse riding routes alongside the Drava River.
