1. SUBJECT This Executive Summary is prepared for UNICERA 2015, the 27th International Ceramics, Bathroom and Kitchen Fair held with permission from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) at the Tüyap Fair and Convention Center, Büyükçekmece between February 24-28, 2015. 1.1. NEXT EVENT February 23 – 27, 2016

1.1. PURPOSE The purpose of the survey was to collect information from visitors via one-on-one surveys conducted during the fairs and the information forms submitted by foreign and domestic visitors at entrance to establish the overall visitor profile and visitor opinion about the fair, and to collate this information with press coverage information to fair participants, with an ultimate goal of improving and developing future fairs based on visitor opinions. 1.2. METHOD AND SAMPLING One-on-one surveys were conducted with randomly selected visitors and participants, distributed equally between days and hours, and information forms collected at the entrance as well as professional attendance records and data presented on invitations were used to extract information.

2. OVERVIEW 2.1. FAIR OPENING AND INDUSTRIAL PARTNERSHIPS Held by TÜYAP in association with the Ceramics Federation of Turkey and TİMDER, the 27th UNICERA International Ceramics, Bathroom and Kitchen Fair was opened by TÜYAP President Bülent Ünal; Chairperson of the Trade Association for Sanitary and Building Supplies (TİMDER), Kemal Çelik; and Chairperson of the Turkish Ceramics Federation (TSF) Ahmet Yamaner, Chairperson of the Turkishceramics Promotion Group Bahadır Kayan together with industry representatives, exhibitors, members of press and guests.

The 27th UNICERA International Ceramics Bathroom and Kitchen Fair was opened by TÜYAP Presidant Bülent Ünal, Chairperson of the Trade Association for Sanitary and Building Supplies (TİMDER) Kemal Çelik, Chairperson of the Turkishceramics Promotion Group Bahadır Kayan, and Chairperson of the Turkish Ceramics Federation (TSF) Ahmet Yamaner, together with industry representatives, exhibitors, members of press and guests.

Iznik Tile Art in Architecture "Traditional Iznik Tile Art in the Contemporary Architecture" conference realized by Timur Bilir (MSGÜ Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Department of Ancient Tile Repair Art Department Instructor) and Nejla Anıl (Tile Designer), presented all processes of current architectural applications of Iznik’s tiles, architectural design, ceramic design, manufacture and installation with examples to participants and visitors.

Design Talks 01/Transparent Solutions The “Design Talks 01/Transparent Solutions” conference brought the names who are leading the design in Turkey and the world together where Professor Alpay Er (Founding Director, Özyeğin University Indsutrial Product Design Department), Defne Koz (Designer) and Tamer Nakışçı (Designer) joined as speakers. During the conference, the speakers shared their future predictions for the sector and their design approaches.

Sustainability of Design Manufacture and Management Processes In "Sustainability" Symposium organized by Association of Category Retailing, illuminated the participants about the preservation of natural resources within the design, manufacture and management process and the use of it at building sector where Cihan Koral Malak (Vitra), Arif Varolan (Koçtaş), Aslı Önel (IKEA) attended as speakers.

Turkish Tile Art Exhibition An experimental tile art exhibition which is designed by undergraduate and graduate students of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, attracted a great deal of visitor’s and exhibitor’s attention.
