Welcome Samford University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics welcome you to campus. This travel guide is intended to ensure a pleasant visit to Birmingham and Samford University.
This booklet is a guide for making hotel reservations and dining arrangements, as well as providing contact information for Samford staff members. Businesses that have entered into a partnership with Samford Athletics are noted in bold letters. We encourage you to use their services when possible. Identify yourself as a visiting team to get the best available rates.
Please consult individual coaches by sport to discuss additional needs your team may have during your visit to Samford. These may include locker rooms, shower facilities, athletic training needs and practice times.

General Information
Parking: For weekend games, bus and van parking is provided in the lot next to Bashinsky Fieldhouse, in front of the tennis courts. There are also lots diagonal from and next to Seibert Hall. Buses may also park across the street from campus and will be escorted back by Campus Safety. General parking surrounds each athletic facility. Tickets/ Concessions: Complementary team tickets and consignment tickets are available. Contact Vaughan Lyons at 205-726-2966. Locker/Shower Facilities: Facilities for men and women are provided in Seibert Hall. The ability to store and lock equipment is not available unless prior arrangements are made. Contact individual coaches to make those arrangements. Broadcasting/Media: Samford provides phone lines and space for visiting broadcast personnel. Contact the Director of Broadcasting, Justin Firesheets at 205-726-4228 for further information. Practice Times: Practice time should be arranged in advance with a university official, prior to arrival. Contact the individual coach or an administrator one week before desired practice time.

General Information
Photo/Video Deck: Film deck space is provided as needed in each athletic fa-cility. Please contact individual coaches to make arrangements. Credentials: The Sports Information Department issues credentials for visiting teams, administrators, and authorized media. Contact Joey Mullins at 205-726-2799 for requests. Ambulance/Safety and Security: Samford provides ambulance and/or on-site medical trainers and physicians at all intercollegiate events. Campus Safety provides crowd control assistance and is assisted by the City of Homewood Po-lice Department when necessary. Cheerleaders: Cheerleaders and mascots are welcomed. All must follow OVC rules. Please contact Head Coach Mary Ussery at 205-726-4013. Bands: Visitor bands are welcomed and must follow OVC rules. Those wish-ing bring bands should contact Grant Dalton at 205-726-4188.

From Birmingham International Airport, Chattanooga, TN, and Points Northeast:
From I-20/59 South: Exit onto I-65 South toward Montgomery. Continue approximately five miles and take Exit 255 to Lakeshore Drive. Turn left onto Lakeshore Drive an continue approximately two miles. Turn left at the fourth traffic light into the school’s main gate. Turn left after you enter the gate. Once you reach a stop sign, Seibert Stadium is on your left.
From Nashville, TN and Points North
