Cars, Crafts and Cream TeasBath Pageant of Motoring5 and 6 July 10.00am to 4.00pmAlbert Field, Walcot Rugby Club, Lansdown Put on by the Rotary Club of Bath.This year’s event will be even bigger and more exciting than previous years. While still displaying a varied collection of cars and motorcycles from the last 100 years it will have a much larger range of supercars and superbikes on display. Rides in the supercars will be available for the price of a donation to our charity. Food court, entertainment for adults and children and a wide range of stalls and displays will make this a real family day out. Admission is £10 adult, £5 child over 5 and £20 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) with free parking on site. All moneys raised will be donated to charities supported by Rotary, especially Wizzybugs, electric wheelchairs for children under 5. Bath FoodbankWe help people in a crisis by collecting food and then providing it at a time of need, offering emotional support and signposting to other services as appropriate. We supply enough food for 3 meals for 3 days for a family or individual as needed.Please help by donating food at the collection point every Friday from 9.00am to 3.00pm at the Love Weston Cafe in the Moravian Church Hall. We especially need long life food, toiletries, long life milk and fruit juice, sponge puddings, sugar and chocolate. We are a Christian organisation, serving people of all faith groups and beliefs or none. We believe that everyone has the right to have food on their plate, and dignity and hope for the future.
Help the Friends of the RUH The Friends of the Royal United Hospital is a charity with over 350 volunteers doing all kinds of jobs around the hospital, making life better for patients. Despite this large number, we always need more help. Even if you have just a couple of hours a week it can make a big difference.We have 18 different teams doing a variety of activities, from helping on the wards serving drinks and providing a listening ear to helping in our Hospital shop, Coffee Shop or even as a volunteer gardener. By having so many opportunities it means that there is something for everyone.The Friends also need financial support, and are supported by paid members so as to be able to provide the patient amenities across the hospital.
