Implants are a great way for our patients to replace any missing teeth.

They are placed after thorough treatment planning by a dentist who is trained in dental implant therapy.

We start with the placement of an implant into the bone of which will hold the abutment in place.

Osseo-integration of an implant can take 3-6 months.

Osseointegration is the process of which bone forms around the screw. If this does not happen the implant will fail.

Post op Instructions are mandatory and must be explained to patient to ensure the healing processgoes as planned.

When the patient returns, the doctor will then access the implant and the placement of an abutment will occur.

The implant will be visible from now on for healing purposes until the doctor decides it is time to take a �inal impression (same as a crown prep impression) to be sent to the lab for the fabrication of a crown.

The �inal step is a crown seat. Refer to Crown Seat for the continuation of this process.

ProcessVisit 1: Implant Placement Implant Consent General Consent Tray Set up Address any questions and concerns. Start with a Pano if one has not been done in the last 6 mo. Anesthetize Dr. and Assistant will work together during this entire procedure, during which he may ask for individual PA’s. Record any lengths informed by Dr. and place into chart note. Visit 2: Post Op General consent Tray Set up Pa of the implant area. Procedure w/dr. N.V. Abutment (ask dr how long)
