CIDC – Activities: Vendor Enlistment in CIDC- Constriction Industry Database:

The updated listings of Companies, Service Providers, Suppliers, Consultants and Contractors that have been enlisted in the CIDC - CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY DATABASE can be viewed on website www.cidcdatabase.com. CCID is comprehensive database that provides you a list of Contractors and Service Providers who have been duly certified by CIDC evaluators through a process of site visits and scrutiny of relevant documents.

Keeping in view, the focus of the government, on providing impetus to infrastructure development, an immediate requirement of project owners is to identify reliable and efficient Contractors, Suppliers and Service Providers across India on whom one can leverage for getting the project implemented with least time and cost overruns.

CIDC, in its quest to provide quality database, best practices and technology to the Indian Construction Industry has worked on this concept and under the Phases I to IV a comprehensive listing of more than 200 entities have been approved and hosted on the website: www.cidcdatabase.com.

CIDC has undertaken several rounds of site inspections and management interactions of the listed vendors that will help in saving on the time & cost being spent on pre-qualification of vendors.

The Task Force meetings for the CIDC Construction Industry Database were held on several occasions and representatives from leading construction organizations like IRCON, NBCC, EPIL, EIL, L&T, DRDO , AAI ,EPIL , CPWD, ONGC, NHPC, DSIIDC, SAIL, CMA, Universal Construction Machinery & Equipment Ltd., Hindustan Prefab Limited, MTNL, B. G. Shirke Construction Technology Pvt. Ltd., Vijay Nirman Co. Pvt. Ltd., IL&FS Engineering & Construction Company, GMR Infrastructure Ltd., CSIR - Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), Aditya Birla Group, Pebs Pennar Engineered Building Systems Limited, Reliance Infrastructure Limited, Tata BlueScope Steel Ltd., Hariom Ingots & Power Pvt. Ltd., Lloyd Insulations India Limited, Ultra Tech Building Solution, Bigwire, Perma Construction Aids Pvt. Ltd, Varindera Constructions Limited and other stakeholders like CE&CR, Urban News Digest, Times Business Solutions Ltd. etc had participated. You may also write to us for participation in this group to help us make the Databases more meaningful.

The Phase V of the Vendor listing has commenced from April 2017 onwards and currently the site inspection and management interaction are underway.

The Fifth Task Force meeting is scheduled to be held on 7th July, 2017, at India International Centre New Delhi from 6pm to 8pm.

NOTICE No. 5/ March/2017 Enlistment/ Registration of Vendors/ Contractors for Supply/

Services in the CIDC – Construction Industry Database

CIDC was established as an autonomous council by the Planning Commission (Now NITI Aayog), Govt. of India, to introduce system improvements in the construction industry. Members of CIDC include, PFC Ltd, HUDCO, BHEL, HDFC, EPIL, LIC Housing Finance, NBCC Ltd, BPCL, RITES, E-in-C’s Branch (Army HQ), Airports Authority of India Ltd, Central Warehousing Corporation, CPWD, GAIL, NTPC Ltd, NHPC Ltd, Engineers (India) Ltd., ONGC, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and Railways etc

Keeping in view, the focus of the government, on providing impetus to infrastructure development, a tremendous opportunity exists in the development process of supplying goods & services to the major Project Owners & their Contractors & Service providers. To meet the same, CIDC is preparing a National database of stakeholders across South Asia. In this connection our counterpart in Bhutan, Construction Development Board (CDB), Ministry of Work & Human Settlement, Royal Government of Bhutan have also been approaching us to provide them a list of reliable vendors and have sought access to our database. Similar arrangements are also being discussed with other countries of the region.

The 5th Phase registrations in the CIDC National Database are now open. Competent and experienced Consultants, Manufacturers for supplying Materials, Accessories, Consumables, etc., and Contractors for providing Services, or Manpower for construction projects for river, highway bridges , tracks for railways, sports stadia, industrial buildings, residential and commercial complexes, integrated projects for power generation and distribution systems, air conditioning systems, finishing/ interiors works, piling etc at various locations across India and other South Asian nations are encouraged to enlist in the database.

The Database is hosted on www.cidcdatabase.com/ and is accessible to all project owners & stakeholders. Applications for Registration are also invited for Consultants and Suppliers of Services for PPP Projects in Roads and Highways.

OEMs/VENDORS/CONTRACTORS/CONSULTANTS MEETING THE CRITERIA OF ENLISTMENT SHALL ONLY BE REGISTERED in the Database.

For list of Items / Services required, Criteria for Registration, Application Forms and other details please log on to the website www.cidcdatabase.com / www.cidc.in.

Request for registration along with forms duly completed in all respect should reach latest by 31st May 2017 to the address mentioned below.

CIDC – Activities: Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between of Construction Industry

Development Council (CIDC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI):

To propagate & promote the good practices of work in the field of concrete construction, Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) has entered in a MOU with American Concrete Institute (ACI):

CIDC VKP Faridabad:

Mr. Kranti Swaroop Sharma from SJVN Limited, visited & met with Dr. Shuchita Kumar, Director (Projects) & Mr. Praveen Tiwari, General Manager at VKP, Faridabad on dated 01.04.2017.

Solar Training organized by M/s. Advit Foundation at VKP for all trainees. Certification distribution by Prof. (Er.) B. R. Chauhan & Dr. Shuchita Kumar and team at VKP Faridabad.

Counselling Session of Engineering Council of India for Engineers:

A counselling session was organized to introduce the Engineering Council of India and its activities in Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Gorakhpur on 10th April, 2017. Chief Coordinator ECI, Er P K Mishra, had interactive session with all the students and faculty members. He also answered the queries of the students on career and scope. The session was very helpful and encouraging to students as well as to faculty of the college.

CIDC – Activities: Sarv Shiksha Abhiyaan in Gorakhpur:

For educational awareness and to inform the community about the Right to Free and Compulsory Education, Educational Awareness Program was organized by CIDC, Gorakhpur with Primary school, Harsewakpur, Gorakhpur on 25th April, 2017 under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. The rally was flagged off by Ms. Alpana Pandey, Head Master, Harsewakpur, Gorakhpur. The rally having hundreds of primary school students, teachers and CIDC trainees and staffs covered nearly five kilometer area across huts and shelters, homes of utmost poor and deprived class. During rally, primary students and trainees of CIDC raised slogan on educational awareness. We not only organized this awareness campaign but we also went door to door to understand the issues and problems of the guardians and to convince them to send their wards to schools.

On- Site Training Programs:

CIDC, Gorakhpur is conducting On-Site training programs for trainees at different construction sites. Trainers elaborate the applications of different theory and concepts of construction to trainees. During On-Site training, the trainees feel the real essence of works.

Vishwakarma Tritiya Dhaulna Training Centre:

Under CIDC – Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFCL) training program 2000 candidates to be trained. Under this training program we have successfully trained 1413 candidates and 156 candidates are undergoing training at different CIDC training centers.

SJVNL Training Program of local Youth of Himachal Pradesh:

Successful completion of training programs on “Office Assistant and Electrician Trade” for SJVNL at various locations, during 2016 – 2017, conducted by CIDC team. During the whole assignment, there has been a lot of learning which has triggered many insightful thoughts particularly on women empowerment and elevation of level of skills for construction workers. The session that was divided into multiple modules, had a mix of different methodologies like group discussions, case readings, team energizing activities and Role plays (which actually brought out the versatile personalities from our participants).

The session ended with an excellent outcome.
