Viseum iVOS FaceRec is a face indexing, detection, identification and re-identification software system. This face recognition software uses both centralized and de-centralized, singular or multiple face database architecture, to support a virtually unlimited number of registered faces. Using Viseum’s library of matching algorithms, face inputs for system enrolment use a variety of CCTV cameras (analogue and digital). The face enrolment system also supports data export and import for enrolment of people using still images or recorded video streams. Extracted images are saved and compared to identities and facial templates stored in the database. After matching is completed, respective alarms are sent out to the user by means of different interfaces.

Viseum Face Recognition Algorithms Library Viseum UK has evolved an extensive library of face detection and face matching algorithms over a longer period of time than any other face recognition technology provider. Some examples -

FaceRec MP – This is our most widely used and popular face recognition algorithm. This allows a complete 360 degrees head movement. The vertical head position can be up to ±15 degrees from the usual vertical position. Head turning up to ±45 degrees. Typical operational computing performance:

o Face Detection: 110 faces per second. o Face Template Extraction: 35 faces per second. o Face Matching: 125,000 faces per second (30Kb image file size, up to 80 Facial

FaceRec MC – This is our most complex face recognition algorithm for the most challenging applications and environments. This allows ±30 degrees head rotation. The vertical head position can be up to ±10 degrees from the usual vertical position. Head turning up to ±10 degrees. Typical operational computing performance:

Viseum iVOS FaceRec Operational Performance

Viseum face recognition systems perform fast and accurately detecting multiple faces, extracted from live video streams and still images. All faces are detected within 0.009 - 0.8 seconds depending on selected values for face rotation tolerances, and face detection accuracy. After detection, a set of features are extracted from each face into a facial template in 0.03 - 0.16 seconds depending on the defined template size. The quality threshold during face enrolment ensures that only high quality face templates will be stored into a face gallery database.
