Announcing Complex Drafting Module for WeavePoint Version 7
The first significant update in over a decade, Complex Drafting Module version 7 is now available.
The Complex Drafting Module is add-on for WeavePoint that allows the weaver to design for draw looms and study complex patterns such as damask and lampas. With Complex Drafting it is easy to combine different groups of shafts; just like a loom with pattern and ground harness.
Version 7 Improvements include:• Menu items and toolbar icons updated to match the more modern style of Weavepoint 8• New dialog boxes for Edit/Crop and Fill/Colors• Updated dialog boxes for Edit Colors and Notes• New Print Setup dialog box containing all print commands• Several minor bug fixes and interface adjustments improving the user experience

AVL’s Little Weaver desktop loom was the first to bring to the table an easy-to-use computerized loom. This little birdie connected shed changing to the beater movement, freeing up a hand for weaving and increasing the pace. Fast forward eight years for some massive improvements!

The K-Series is AVL’s first new floor loom design in nearly two decades. We wanted it to be ground breaking and so we hit it with everything we had. Since its launch, the K-Series has been our most popular loom.
Beautiful looks: The loom frame is designed to be more open than just about anything around. The organic feel of the loom’s gorgeous oiled ash hardwood is enhanced with nicely curved wood pieces, clean lines and integrated covers to enhance functionality and beauty. The construction includes special wood joinery to make the loom notably sturdy, yet allowing us to reduce the visibility and quantity of fasteners. Lastly, the frame design maximizes space with its smaller footprint. K-Series comes in 24, 32 & 40 inch weaving widths.
Weave most any structure: K-Series launches our countermarch-counterbalance dobby, incorporating the traditional center shedding of a countermarch with counterbalanced harnesses for easy lifting. This approach means you always have a nice big shed without any spring or tie-up. This loom can be equipped with 8, 16, 24, 32 or 40 harnesses, and all of these configurations are neutrally light and easy to treadle! Can any other loom make this claim? That is a resounding no!
