The Tuscany marks the beginning of the central area of Italy, bordering to the north with the Emilia-Romagna, Liguria to the northwest and to the east with Marche and Umbria. The boundary is the south Lazio, and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west its limit.
The Climate
Tuscany has a Mediterranean climate in the coast and continental interior. The average annual temperature is 16 º C. Winter is quite strict.

Ponte Vecchio

Destroyed by floods in 1333, it was rebuilt in 1345 with a project designed by Taddeo Gaddi.
