Geographical aspects

The Tuscany marks the beginning of the central area of Italy, bordering to the north with the Emilia-Romagna, Liguria to the northwest and to the east with Marche and Umbria. The boundary is the south Lazio, and the Tyrrhenian Sea to the west its limit.

Santa Maria de Fiorde Cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese

of Florence. It was a work of the celebrated Renaissance

architect Brunelleschi. Artwork of the first Gothic and Italian

Renaissance, considered of fundamental importance for the history of architecture, registration of wealth and power in the capital of Tuscany, in the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.

Ponte Vecchio

Arched medieval bridge over the Arno River in Florence, Italy, is famous for having a quantity of stores (jewelers) over the entire board.

Built in ancient Rome, it was originally made of wood.

Destroyed by floods in 1333, it was rebuilt in 1345 with a project designed by Taddeo Gaddi.
