Getting Started

The following slides will guide your journey through virtual education.

Student Login for Google:

48 hours after a student is enrolled in VPSB, their student credentials will

be active in the VPSB system.

Student Credentials are as follows:

Example Student Name: John Appleseed

Example Lunch Number: 1234567

Login “Example”

First letter of First Name (given): “j”

First three letters of last name: “app”

Last 4 numbers of the Lunch Number: “4567”

Domain: @vpsb.us

Username: japp4567@vpsb.us

Password

First letter of First Name, Capitalized “J”

First Letter of Last Name, Capitalized “A”

# “#”

First 4 numbers of lunch number: “1234”

Password: JA#1234

This is a username for google services. Most Google services are available

to all students. Email is only available to grades 9-12.

Your child has been assigned a google login which is based upon their name and student id (lunch number).

Student Login

All devices are issued with a carrying case and charger.Devices should not be taken out of the protective case. They are designed to be kept on the device while in use.

Damaged, lost, or stolen devices must be reported immediately.

Please make sure that the chromebook has been fully charged overnight. The charger is plugged into the left side, uppermost port.

● These devices are programmed to automatically join a VPSB network.

● At home or on-the-go, you will need to manually join an available network.

● A network name and password is required.

Joining a Wifi NetworkIf the screen shows network not available…● Select a network shown in the screen, or select “Add other

WiFi network.● On “Join WiFi Network”, type the network name for the

wireless network you wish to use.● Add the type of encryption.● Enter the password.● You should be connected....

If you do not know any of the information needed, please contact your internet provider.

CleverChrome will open up with the CLEVER page assigned to your student. This gives them access to all of the outside software utilizing single sign on.

Click on the small “+” to open a new tab on the browser.

In the top right of the new browser you will see the Gmail, Images, and waffle icon. You should see your initials or photo in the circle on the right.
