Welcome to the Virtual Horse Show! We thought it would be fun to offer a virtual
competition while everyone is staying safe and waiting for the live shows to start up again.
Classes are offered for everyone from Leadline to Grand Prix, along some exciting dog
classes, people jumping, bareback class, Mother’s Day Leadline and more! Winners will be
awarded for each class and winning videos will be posted on The Ridge at Riverview &
Garden State Horse Show Facebook and Instagram Pages! A social media account is not
required to participate. We hope you will join us in a friendly and fun competition judged by
US Olympian Nona Garson. Now everyone stay home, stay healthy, and stay safe so we can
all get back in the show ring as soon as possible!
Rules & Regulations Show Date : May 3, 2020
Judge: Nona Garson, Olympian
Entries Close: Midnight on May 2, 2020
Entry Forms: accepted via email: [email protected] or you can enter at www.horseshowing.com
Cost: $25/class Payment: via paypal to: [email protected] or mail check to: The Ridge, 3 Wolverton Road
Asbury, NJ 08802 Videos: please send a youtube link of your video to [email protected]. Riders may
submit videos from past horse shows. If the video is over fences, it must be at the designated height of the class being entered. The video must be over a course of at least seven jumps and at a distance that is clearly visible to the judge.
Photos: please send a .jpg file to [email protected]. Riders may submit a photo
from past horse shows. If the photo is over fences, it must be over a jump at the height of the
class being entered. No proofs please!
Entries: Riders can enter both the photo and video sections, they will be entered and judged
separately, please make a note on the entry blank as to which section you are entering.
Judging: Hunter classes: judged on performance, soundness, and manners.
Jumper classes: judged on style of riding, speed and agility
Equitation classes: judged on execution and position
Under Saddle Classes: Horses must show at least once around the ring in each
direction at the designated gates.
Protective headgear: required in all videos/photos where riders are mounted
Attire: Show attire preferred but not required
Combined Classes: Any class with fewer than 6 entries may be combined with another class at
management’s discretion.
Social Media: All winning entries will be featured on our Facebook and Instagram pages
Prizes: for all class winners. Ribbons will be mailed for 1st - 4th place winners, Virtual Ribbons
for 5th - 8th place. Winners will be posted on our social media pages.
Champions will receive a coupon for 10% off their entries at one future show at The
Ridge at Riverview during the 2020 show season.
Leading Trainer will receive a free tack stall at one show at The Ridge at Riverview
during the 2020 season.
Hunter Derby Winner will receives 50% off one stall and 20% off their entries at one
show at The Ridge at Riverview during the 2020 season.
Disclaimer: All photos/videos submitted should receive permission from the original owner of the video/photograph. Do not submit any photo proofs, in the event that a proof is submitted, it will not be judged and entry fees will be forfeited. Any videos/photos that are too difficult to see due to distance or poor quality will be disqualified and entry fee will be forfeited. By submitting a video/photo, you are giving The Ridge/Nona Garson express permission to use your video/photo in its advertising and/or social media. Should any questions or disputes arise not provided for in these rules, the same shall be referred to show management whose decision shall be final. The Ridge Farm, its employees or owners, or any member of the show committee will not be held responsible for any accidents incurred in the making of videos/photos for this competition. It shall be the condition of every exhibitor to hold the same blameless or harmless for any accident or loss.
