Riddle of the Week A woman is set up on a blind date and they plan to meet in a restaurant. She goes to the restaurant and only knows the man's name is "Heshel." She doesn't know what he looks like or even what he does for a living. Inside the restaurant she sees a firefighter, a police officer, two carpenters, a doctor, a baker, a writer and a cook. She immediately goes up to the firefighter and says, "Hi, Heshel, I'm Zelda." How did she know?
Clues: 1. She did not know everybody's occupation; 2. There was something about Heshel that distinguished him from the others.
Last Week's Answer: It was bread and a hard-boiled egg. An upcoming Yom Tov was going to fall on a Friday. She was reciting the Eruv Tavshilin, which allows her to cook food on Yom Tov to be eaten on Shabbos.Riddles reprinted with permission from Hazakah.com.
