We hope th e r o s te r may encourage some to assume r e s p o n s ib i l i ty and move a long th e p a th to le a d e rs h ip in VHS. We p a r t i c u l a r ly urge th e t r a in e d b io lo g i s t s - - c o lle g e and h igh school f a c u l ty members - - to co n s id e r such a c o u rse . For o th e rs , we hope i t w i l l beckon them to f u l l - f le d g e d membership and support of th e S o c ie ty 's o b je c t iv e s :

(5) Work fo r a more a c c u ra te n ew s-rep o rtin g on r e p t i l e s and am­p h ib ia n s ; and
