Virgin Coconut Oil Oil extracted from fresh, mature kernel of coconut via natural fermentation, centrifuge or expeller methods. It has not refined, bleached or deodorized (RBD). WET PROCESS

Milk is extracted from fresh, mature coconut. Oil is separated from the liquid portion by natural fermentation or by centrifuge machine.

Coconut Water Clear liquid from coconuts. A natural rehydrating drink. It is considered as the cleanest water on Earth filled with potassium, electrolytes, amino acids, vitamins, antioxidants and other health promoting phyto nutrients. PROCESS

Collected from the whole coconut through an aseptic process. It is then steamed and packed in a UHT bag (Scholle) 24kg or 200kg. Sometimes it is blast frozen and packed in 25kg bags.

Coconut Flour Coconut meat, finely ground after the oil has been extracted. Most of the moisture has been removed. It contains 9-12% fat. It’s gluten-free, high fiber, low carbohydrate can be used for baking and as a thickener. Prosource is a leading supplier of coconut products including coconut flour.

It is the residue left after extraction of coconut cream or VCO. It is finely ground to resemble wheat flour.

Coconut Sugar It is a natural sweetener created from the sap of the coconut flower. The sap is collected, cooked and concentrated, reducing it to granulated form. It is processed without any chemicals or preservatives. It has a low glycemic index of 35 compared to regular cane sugar and is rich in Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. Coconut sugar is widely distributed by ProSource.

PROCESS

Sweet flower sap painstakingly collected from organically raised coconut trees. When sap is removed from the flower further growth of the coconut is prevented. Sap is then boiled in stainless steel vats and concentrated to create pure granulated sugar. No chemical process is involved. Different from cane sugar because it does not give the body a harmful spike in the blood sugar due to its low glycemic index of 35.

Winterized Coconut Oil It is coconut oil that does not solidify in the winter (below 0 Celsius) due to a process called fractionation. This means that the long chain fatty acids are naturally separated from the oil increasing the percentage of medium chain fatty acids in the oil by 93%. Prosource is the only Philippine distributor of Winterized Coconut oil

PROCESS

It starts with RBD (refined, bleached, and deodorized) oil. The long chain fatty acids are removed through the process of distillation. The result is a liquid which unlike VCO does not turn solid below 0 Celsius.

Desiccated Coconut Coconut meat which has been pulverized, shredded or flaked and then dried to remove as much moisture as much as possible. It contains as much as 65% fat. Desiccated coconut is among the many products supplied in bulk by ProSource.

PROCESS

Coconut meat is blanched to eliminate all microorganisms. It is then passed through a grinder to produce the desired cut (fine, macaroons, ribbon cut, etc). It is dried to remove all the moisture. It should have no more than 3% moisture content.

Coconut Cooking Oil (RBD)

Coconut cooking oil is extracted from dried coconut (copra) which has been refined, bleached, deodorized. ProSource distributes both organic and conventional Coconut cooking oil.

PROCESS

Copra meat is milled and oil is extracted, because copra is dried under the sun & exposed to the elements, the resulting oil comes out dark brown. It has to be refined, bleached, deodorized.

Coconut Milk Powder Spray dried fresh coconut milk. It is in powder form and used by diluting it with water for cooking. It has a longer shelf life than liquid coconut cream or milk. Coconut milk powder is among the wide variety of coconut products supplied in bulk in by ProSource.

PROCESS

The liquid milk is spray dried into powder form. To stabilize & preserve the powder , maltodextrin & sodium caseinate are added. For vegetarians, a substitute for maltodextrin is used.

Coconut Nectar

A liquid collected from the coconut flower. It is rich in amino acids and vitamins. It is the same sap that is made into coconut sugar. It is made by reducing the liquid into a dark viscous syrup. It is used to sweeten pancakes or mixed with vinegar to make a vinaigrette for salads. Coconut Nectar is among the wide variety of coconut products supplied in bulk by ProSource

PROCESS

The sweet juice or sap drips from drips from the newly formed coconut flower. The farmer has to climb the coconut tree in the morning to collect the sap. The sap is then filtered with coconut cloth. It is boiled at 110 deg C for 30-60 minutes until liquid becomes very sticky. It cooled down at normal temperature. It is then packed into bottles or drums. No chemical substance or additives are used in the process.

Coconut Sauce

Sea salt is added to the coconut sap to add flavor. It is rich with amino acids and vitamins and is used to season and color various savory dishes much like the way soy sauce does. ProSource sells Coconut sauce in bulk as food seasoning.

PROCESS

The sap is harvested from the flower of the coconuts. It is then filtered with cotton cloth. After filtering it is boiled to 105 deg C for 30-60 minutes until the liquid becomes a bit dark. The sea salt is added for seasoning. It is in stirred in a circular motion until all ingredients are well mixed. It is then put another into a Cocoking vat off the fire to cool off. The finished product is transferred in food grade plastic drums.
