Viola AMR solution is an optimized concept for automated meter reading from distribution transformers and customer sites. Viola’s complete AMR solution allows you to integrate your remote energy meters as part of your centralized meter data-management systems. It is constructed using Arctic AMR devices and the Viola AMR Server. It is ideally suited to retrofitting with existing electricity meters in energy networks. Arctic AMR is compatible with various proprietary and standard protocols such as DLMS / COSEM. The complete AMR solution includes an industrial-quality Viola AMR Server. Pre-installed software is built into it for secure communication between the central control room and wireless Arctic AMR devices connected to the meters on distribution transformers. The solution includes versatile system-monitoring features together with centralized data and device configuration management.

What is it? the viola amr solution is optimized for auto-matic energy meter reading. the meter provides a wealth of data which is useful once it is extracted and made available to a central control room in a human-readable format. the arctic amr automatically retrieves, stores and converts all the meter data and transfers it to a viola amr server in a central control room. local data storage in an arctic amr device enables periodic data transfer for increased reliability and low communication costs.

The Viola AMR Server is especially designed for large

systems. enhanced hardware reliability is achieved

through a dual power supply and four hard drives. a

typical installation of the viola amr solution includes

couple servers in the central control room and tens of

thousands of meters in remote nodes. nevertheless, the

solution is highly scalable and can also be optimized for

small and medium-size systems.
